1972 Chevrolet Wagon-Clamshell Kingswood Estate

True Barn Find! The nicest clam-shell Woody Wagon you will Find! This wagon is the definition of a Survivor! I purchased this from my neighbors estate. Gerald purchased it new from Jim McKay Chevrolet in Fairfax VA our local chevy dealer. It is all ORIGINAL! It has been stored in a garage since NEW! 45,667 ORIGINAL MILES! I have the documentation to prove it. Gerald White was a CIA Spy at Langley (interesting life story, he headed the interrogation of the Russian pilot that defected) and never married or had kids or pets. I am 99% sure that no one ever sat in the back seats and it shows. I have the original Price sheet, steel selling dealer plate imprint, owners manual, everything! He kept all paperwork/details regarding this car. My kids call this the SPY Wagon! The AC blows Ice cold, the car drives like new, shifts perfectly! It is a blast to drive~! I had my mechanic go over the car and tune it up. It has a new battery. All original carpet, floor mats and it really looks BRAND NEW. He had everything covered in newspaper (I guess to protect it). I am not a car expert but I think this could be in a museum. Everyone stops me and tell me a story about how they grew up driving a similar wagon. Gerald never had teenagers to "thrash" this wagon. Color is sought after true 70's "Desert Gold-54-54" with Saddle vinyl interior that I thought was leather. He added factory AC, Stereo tape (8 track-comes with his 8 track library), 6 way power seats, heavy duty radiator etc. I have driven this wagon 1.5 hours to Lake Anna and it is a dream to drive. I would be comfortable driving it anywhere. It comes with 2 studded winter tires that I never used. EVERYTHING WORKS as it should except: 1. the passenger seat belt just stopped retracting into the side unit. Should be easy fix just don't have time with kids. 2. the gas gage works but reads full until you are at 1/4 tank then drops to 1/4 and works fine until empty. 3. There are a few very tiny paint chips from road driving but so small it is hard to take a picture. I have a photo I can email you. That is it! The woodgrain looks brand new....I can't find any flaw in it. If you are serious Please feel free to come and see this car, inspect it, drive it. I purchased the car in 2011 and hate to part with it but our family grew and I need the garage space. These woody's will only go up in value! Please email me with any questions or call. I have listed this car locally and could sell it at anytime. Investing in this (if you have the garage space) is MUCH better investment than the stock market ;) If you are looking for a LOW millage, well documented woody that you can drive anywhere this is the car for you!
