1950 Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe Deluxe

. Oregon Barn find. During my time as a rural UPS driver I noticed at one of my regular country stops, an old Chevrolet Fleetline Deluxe sitting in the barn . The car sat there for the twelve years I delivered to that address. As my retirement date got closerI started asking aroun, turns out the Chevy had belonged to a lady high school teacher and she had owned the car since new, An older gentlemen that was a life long friend of hers told me that her Father had given it to her when she graduated from college and that she had kept the car the rest of her life. I heard a lot of people say they remember the car parked in front of the high school fordecades that she taught. She lived about a mile away from the school. When she passed away it was discovered thatthe title was lost and so the car was put in the bar, it has been in there since 1993.To make a long story short I ended up with the car and did the work to get a clear Oregon title in my name( took some leg work.)I have no way of knowing how many actual miles are on the car, the ODO shows 18K.I don't think its 118K because the car is very strait. If you look past the patina, the bumpers need new chrome but are very strait. It looks like the original paint to me( but I am no expert) there are very few dents for a car that is 67 years old . got wet inside so the firstthing I did was pull up all the carpet and moldy insulation and dried out the inside. I removed the back seat because it hadbeen infested with every kind of rodent you can think of. I have the rear seat, I cleaned it the best I could and wrapped it in plastic. I sprayed the whole car down with a product call Rust-mor, its supposed to stop surface rust. It seems to be quite effective.I tried to take pictures that show thecondition of the body accuratel, there is some areas that need repai, the area under the windshield molding also in the lower front of rear quarter panels down low have some rust troughs, but there are patch panels available for the quarter panel damage .The floor pans look very good to me the rear still have the red-oxide primer from the factory . Look at the pics. I think they give a accurate accoun, the rockers look serviceable to me they are not rusted through and seem solid I tried to take pictures of the back side of them under the car. The car spent its whole life in Orego, we don't use salt on our roads!, the car had a VERY HEAVY factory installed undercoat that had no doubt helped to preserve this car. I am not saying that there is not a speck of rust on this Chevy but I think once its media blasted its going to look great. The only missing trim is the two spears that go on each side of thetrunk handl, the stainless is infairly good conditio, some may requiring some work to remove small dents and then a good polish .The bumpers look very strait with no dents, withfresh chrome they will look grea, the windows all still roll up and down { a little stiff }.The engine is still fre, I was able to turn the crank .I worked at tring to start a little and found that the starter is stuck and won't turn even with power put directly to it . Much to my surprise when I installed a 6 volt battery the head lights and tail light still work fine, the points condenser and cap all look good .This description is getting long so I will wrap it up,if you have any questions please email I will try my best to answer .Buyer is responsible for shipping the car .
