For sale:1976 Chevrolet K10 4x4 true original survivor from the high desert of Eastern Washington. Purchased new at Butterfield Chevrolet in Ellensburg, and later moved to the Spokane area where I bought the truck. The truck was ordered by an older fellow for camping trips, and the Hickey Sidewinder winch was installed when new. Nice stock old truck that's well equipped with the factory NY1 skid plates, G80 locking rear end, DF2 stainless camper mirrors, Z53 guage package, N33 Comfortilt steering, C60 Air Conditioning and U69 AM/FM radio. Original jack, handle and lug wrench still underhood and original manuals and warranty papers still in the glovebox.
Exterior: Still shines and looks great, really nice survivor condition. Has the usual small nicks and dings from 40 years of use. Paint is original except passenger box side, which had a repair early on. Casual observers won't find fault, truck presents very well. Paint is thin in a few small spots along the hood spine. Very dry truck, 98 percent rust free with only some minor surface rust along the lower body, no rot. Underside looks great.The Ellensburg/Cle Elum/Moses Lake area is arid and only gets an average of 8 inches of rain per year, and that aridity preserved this K10. There are a few small pits low behind passenger front wheel and a small blister/hole at bottom of driver side cab. SEE MORE DETAILED PICS at the Photobucket link listed below. Glass all in good condition, one small chip in the original windshield. Exterior chrome in good condition and not pitted, there is a spot where chrome flaked off rear bumper. There are a couple of small house paint drips I didn't try to remove for fear of damaging the original finish. Good looking truck, expect a lot of compliments at the gas station or Home Depot.
Interior: 100 percent original, good driver condition. Original seat is firm and not broken down, there's a few tears in the driver side of the cover. Door panels in good condition and the map pockets aren't sagging. Original carpet in good condition. Headliner is not torn but is drooping and needs to be re-glued. Original steering wheel in good condition, dash pad has a few cracks. Factory AM/FM works and sounds great, all gauges work, CB radio works (antenna behind the seat). Most everything working except A/C, see function list below. Tight a nice truck that has never been abused.
Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives out well. Original 350 was upgraded to 400 engine from the late 70s with Edelbrock intake and performer carb. Pulls strong and smooth, no smoke or noises, oil pressure is good. New battery, new flowmaster exhaust and new receiver hitch. 4x4 works great in high and low range. Most everything works, see function list below. Does have an oil leak that will leave a spot on the floor overnight, nothing horrible. When engine was upgraded, the A/C compressor and hoses were set aside and not reinstalled, those parts are missing. Thankfully that stuff is common and relatively easy to find. I can assist in locating those parts if needed Previous owner stated both fuel tanks work, I've only used right tank. 31 x 10.50 Dick Cepek tires have maybe a season of tread left. Tried the winch and it did start to work but the cable is bound on the spool. The winch battery feed wire got hot so I disconnected it. The winch cable will need to be unbound and a checkup/service done at a minimum before it can be used. Thankfully, Hickey is still in business and the Sidewinder was their most popular winch, so parts are still available if needed. Overall great truck to drive as is, or take to the next level.

With the 67-72 Chevy truck prices in the stratosphere now, the 73-up trucks are increasing in value quickly, and will only go up from here. This truck is for sale at NO RESERVE.

TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES WELL but flying in and driving it home a long distance probably isn't a good idea. Montana is a rural state with long stretches of desolate highway with poor cell service. Reasonable transport is available. Title is clear and in my name.
