1975 Chevrolet Suburban Silverado

1975 Chevy Silverado Suburban. Here is your chance to own a beautiful vintage truck that you can drive any day, anywhere. It is an outstanding restoration that makes the truck reliable and useful without sacrificing its vintage cool. No outdated computers to fail, no rust, no fussy electrics-- just a head turning 1970s truck that can take you anywhere and tow whatever you choose to bring.

First year edition Silverado. For sale is an extremely rare, first edition Silverado Suburban. This vehicle hits the exact sweet spot—it's a 1975. That year is critical because the first year for the Silverado option was 1975; that year also was the last year you could get the LS-4 454 cubic inch engine in a full size vehicle without emissions. Result: A Silverado Suburban with no computer, no smog.

This truck is fully restored from a 70,000 original mile survivor. Many new parts. Engine and transmission both have been overhauled. No body rust anywhere! Truck has had only the best in paint—beautiful new two tone paint job in the original gold colors.

The vehicle's equipment includes:

•454 cubic inch engine

•TH-400 automatic transmission

•14 bolt corporate rear

•One ton chassis

•Eight lug wheels

•Two wheel drive

•10,000 pound tow package with electric brake controller

•Power steering, power brakes, a/c, heat, factory am/fm

Please note the original Delco am/fm radio has been tested and works, The wiring is all good but the dash speaker coil will need to be restored. This truck hasn't been cut apart or abused EVER! It's in beautiful condition. All original fabric & materials were used on interior.

The a/c works, but the system had to be evacuated when the new radiator support housing was installed. You will need either to charge it with R-12 or make the conversion to R-134a—that's a decision for the new owner.

The truck was Z-Barted, undercoated and rustproofed when brand new. It has manual windows and locks. All glass is good and original—no chips, no cracks, no scratches. Original LOF date coded windshield is PERFECT. This truck has the electric tailgate window, which was standard for Silverado equipped Suburbans. Works great!

This vehicle runs and drives like a brand new truck. You could drive it to coast to coast effortlessly. It would make an outstanding tow vehicle for a vintage (or new) trailer. It has a brand new 3 row Be-Cool aluminum radiator. No leaks. The engine and transmission are in outstanding condition, fully rebuilt with only best parts used. The vehicle has four brand new Firestone tires.

These trucks are rare. First year, first edition, big block with one ton chassis. Fully restored with an eye toward maintaining the original character of the truck. The 1970s Suburbans are not easy to find-- it's much easier to find the mid-80s vintage, with all the computer headaches that come along with them. The photographs tell the story. Feel free to email with any requests for specific photographs or additional pictures. Clear Florida title in hand.

Please do not send me messages that you can "buy these all day long" at a price that wouldn't even cover the paint job on this truck. If you believe you can find a better truck for less money, then don't contact me—buy it! No trades, no low ball offers, no tire kickers. If you need financing, please obtain it before you contact me. If you need permission from a significant other, get it before you contact me. If you don't know much about these trucks, please educate yourself before you contact me. Please note this is a truck. It is more a truck than an SUV. There was no soccer mom market in 1975. It does not drive like a new Escalade, Tahoe or a Yukon Denali does. It also has about three times as much steel in it as any of those do either.

Vehicle is listed for sale locally so this listing may end at any time.
