IN-DEPTH HISTORY & HOW IT GOT WHERE IT IS

I purchased this special car out of Florida from an older gentleman that was the second owner. It was an original 90,000 mile 6 cyl 3 speed car that did have power steering and power disc brakes and was an original radio delete. I re-created the car to an L-72 exact replica during a complete restoration. It IS NOT a numbers matching car but as close as one can make it. It has everything an original would have and all components are date correct. This is not a frame off car because there was no reason for it. The floor pan was replaced because of some rust but mainly it was bent by the old man running over a large curb. Every nut and bolt, mount, line, seal, rubber, latch, handle, lock, is new. Also wiper motor, heater core, blower motor, cables, levers, wiring, glove box liner, shocks, big block springs, a-arms, u-joints, ball joints, tie rods, bushings, seals, bearings, rotors, wheel studs and nuts, calipers, backing plates, pads & shoes, weather strips, door fuzzies, carpet, sun visors, brake lines, fuel lines, fuel sender, etc, etc. The engine was completely rebuilt, Balanced rotating assembly, block was decked just enough to true it and you can just make out the factory IO stamp and even the original broach marks. It is a 3955270 and still retains a stock bore and a standard crank, All new inside with a balanced rotating assy. Compression is 10.5:1 with Cometic gaskets and will run great on 91-93. Cam is of course a solid with .559-.580 lift and .264-.270 duration @.050. Heads are now all new 3919840 with springs matched to cam and 2.19-1.88 valves, 3/8 push rods and guide plates, M20 trans was completely rebuilt with new bearings, synchros, and gears as needed. It shifts perfectly and the rebuilt Muncie shifter does not rattle and shake like most. There are no shakes, shimmies, or vibrations of any kind at any speed. It has a new Zoom clutch assembly, flywheel, Z-bar, and all supporting hardware. New MSD electronic distributor, ceramic plug wires, mini starter, alternator, power steering pump, red line tires with 7 & 8 inch wheels. No leaks or drips of any kind. Drive it anywhere. I have driven it a little over 450 miles sorting and dialing things in. I had a tach and direct read gauges during this time so I could monitor everything. It runs 180 degrees always, it will not run hot, oil pressure is 40 psi at hot idle and 60-70 psi running down the road. I removed the gauges because I wanted the factory look. I will include them if you like. I built this car to drive. I did not set out to build a trailer queen and that's why I opted to keep as much original as possible like the original grille, chrome, and stainless. It gives it just a touch of patina and I believe I achieved my goal of making it look more like a survivor than a freshly restored car. Car was finished early this year and as you can tell it spends most of its time in my garage. Things change and I just don't have time for it as I had planned.
