1961 Chevrolet C-10 Apache
Here is very nice original 1961 Chevrolet Apache short bed truck that has only had 2 owners before we bought it. This truck was bought new here in Tallapoosa, Ga and has never left the state. The guy we bought it from has owned this truck since 1966 and I have the sales agreement showing when he bought it. It has a great running 283 engine that according to the block is a 1958 year engine. It was rebuilt and only has about 1500 miles on it. It still has the manual 3 speed on the column. It has all new brakes on it that are still factory drum brakes. It does not have power steering but drives and handles really good. The truck has been painted for a few years and still has a good shine but does have a couple minor scratches but looks really good overall. The bed has a nice wood floor and is in great condition. The bumpers and chrome are all original and although not perfect looks good to be original. The interior was also redone with a suede like material on the bench seat and a rubber floor mat. The dash, door panels and ceiling all look great. All the glass looks great and the windows roll up and down like they should. It has the big back window. The horn works as does the wipers. The fuel gauge appears to work but the speedometer is missing but I have a good speedometer that works to put back in. The tires look new and are 215/75/15 all around with the original wheels and hubcaps. It still has the single exhaust like it came from factory with. Very solid Georgia truck with no rust anywhere that I have seen. The cab corners look good as does the floors. You don't see many of this model truck anymore especially in this condition. Don't miss it.
