Description:

1965 Chevrolet Corvette STD

This 1965 Corvette was discovered in an enclosed trailer that was sold at a storage delinquency auction. Not much is known regarding its history except it appears to have a restoration started and is partially disassembled. When applying for a title, it was put on a lift by the Colorado State Patrol in Ft. Collins and it was determined to be a NUMBERS MATCHING car. It has the HF code 300hp 327 with a Muncie 4spd and 3.70 posi rear end. The engine looks to be rebuilt and fires up. It was only started not ran. (The engine pic looks cloudy but the chrome is only reflecting the ceiling inside its current storage.) This car comes with a ton of parts to put it back together. (Some of the new parts not installed have attached receipts dated from 1992 and 1993.) All parts and trim seem to be present. The interior is in great driver shape with the rear carpet looking new. The convertible top is ripped and convertible frame has rust. See pics. The windshield frame also has rust in both corners that will need to be patched or completely replaced.(It is our assumption that this is why the restoration was halted.) The body looks to be in great shape with no visable hits. It has some scratches and cracking of the paint. The car looks to have NEW body mounts as well as NEW rubber suspension parts including A arm bushings and steering components. Also looks to have NEW calipers, rotors, dust shields and brake lines. All the glass is good. Headlight mechanisms are torn down. Steering wheel is cracked. NO KEYS

This car is being sold as-is and has a CLEAN Colorado title. It is located in Platteville Colorado (35 miles north of Denver) and can be viewed by appointment. It is recommended to the winning bidder to pick the car up with an enclosed trailer as the top, deck lid and windshield are not attached. Plus all the parts.
