Description:

1969 Chevrolet Caprice

I have a 1969 factory 4 speed Caprice. I am the 3rd owner, although I have little knowledge of the first two owners. I have owned the car since 2007. The reason I'm selling is that I do not drive it. I have put a little over 1700 miles on it over the last 10 years. The engine I believe is original since the block stamping shows the suffix HG. That is the code used for a manual transmission. It has a Muncie M-20 that appears to have never been removed, and a 12 bolt non-posi rear end. I think it has 3.31 gears. The car drives like new and the shifter moves smoothly. The car has absolutely no rust and the paint shines nicely.Everything about the car is how it was when I purchased it. As seen in the photos, there is a scratch on the driver side rear quarter panel between the wheel and bumper andthe trunk has a small dimple the size of a pencil eraser by the Caprice emblem. The paint is not perfect, but shows well for its age. The interior is all original, the seats show minor signs of wear, along with passenger side lower door interior panel. This is an air conditioning delete car. I have seen only two other Caprice's that are 4 speed cars. Both of them being on eBay. Power steering steers easily and the front drum brakes are power as well. Interior shows well for its age with minimal wear. Dash has no cracks. The car is all original. I don't have the build sheet, nor have I looked for it. This is a Caprice, GM's top of the line car in 1969. It is not a rebadged Impala, Biscayne or Bel Air. I have another 1969 Caprice that was my first car. The cowl tags onboth carshave the same numbers indicating the Caprice. Please ask any questions. You are welcome to call me at 785-554-7944.
