Description:

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

Exceptional condition 55. This is a rust free body, floors and trunk. Does have fiberglass tilt front with fiberglass bumpers. The car has spent the last 20 years or so as an occasional weekend 1/4 mile toy. I have slightly de-tuned it to run on premium pump gas. Biggest change is running the blower 1 to 1 instead of the 15% overdrive at the track. The other pulleys come with it. Consistent low 10 second car, best time of 10.17 at 135. That time is with a mix of pump gas and race fuel, full exhaust hooked up, 4:10 gears and slicks. The car now has a new set of M/T street master tires front and back. The engine is a very well built 454+. It has a long list of work done to it that I can forward to those really interested. The engine was built to run 7000rpm+. We always shifted at 6500, I'm sure it would have run lower times if push higher but in all the years having fun with it the engine never broke once. It did break most rear ends we tried until using the Ford 9" with a Detroit locker center section several years ago.....hasn't broke since. The paint is gorgeous, only a year old, needs nothing. It's a blast to drive on the street, the sound of that engine makes your heart pound. She is a beautiful car, draws a crowed everywhere I take it. Under the hood it's a race car, nothing fancy just clean and big with a polished blower. The new owner could do some dress up items to make it there own.
