1 of 7141 Chevelle convertibles ever built in 1970 with a V8 engine. Built in Baltimore Maryland the 1st week of May 1970, this Chevelle was invoiced and delivered to Lang Chevrolet Sales Inc, 1001 N Broad Street, Fairborn, Ohio 45324. Only 3 owners and always an Ohio car, the original owner lived in South Vienna, Ohio, she was 62 years old when she purchased the Chevelle new in 1970. The car remained in her name and care for 23 years until she died in 1993 at the age of 85. The Chevelle had 44309 original miles on it at the time.

Only four weeks after her death the Chevelle was sold to a 56 year old man from Springfield, Ohio. Purchased as an investment, it was drove very little and kept in storage. This second owner repainted the car (retaining the original color of Forest Green) in 1998. The car remained in his name for 22 years until it was sold to me in 2015. The Chevelle had 48084 miles on it at this time.

The car still retains its original numbers matching drivetrain, 307 engine from carburetor to oil pan, original air cleaner, turbo 350 transmission, 273 ratio open rear end, all original to the car.

All original metal, floors, trunk, everything. All in very good original condition with no sign of accident damage. The frame is solid. There are a few scratches and dings in the driver quality paint, but no dents. All of the original tinted glass is in excellent condition, clear and bright with no scratches, including the glass rear window. The Chevelle still retains its original white convertible top. The top has some imperfections, but is still in very nice usable condition. The original dash and steering wheel have no cracks and look excellent. The weather stripping is in good original condition, some of which has been replaced. I just replaced both universal joints, it still had the original ones from the factory, I also had the driveshaft balanced and painted as well. There are new wiper blades, hood and trunk bumpers, front sway bar bushings, muffler and all new AC Delco shocks. The car still retains its original coil springs, the factory tags were still attached to the springs, I have them saved and they come with the car. The two high beam headlights are the original T3.

Everything on this Chevelle works as it should, the power top operates perfectly, the turn signals cancel properly, all interior and exterior lights, gauges, cigarette lighter, wipers, vents, heat, all locks: door, trunk and glovebox, the original AM radio, everything!

Both doors open and close like new with absolutely no sag in the hinges. I removed all interior panels and greased all window rollers, snugged every bolt and adjusted the stops as necessary. All four windows roll up and down effortlessly and the doors close solid with no rattles.

The Chevelle starts right up, drives nicely down the road, the engine is quiet, the transmission shifts perfectly, it does not pull to either side while driving or braking, no squeaks, rattles or vibrations, it is an absolute pleasure to own and drive. You will not be disappointed in the performance of this Chevelle, in fact I think you will be amazed.
