This was a good, complete, accident free, unmolested car when I purchased it. With any car of this vintage the mileage can be suspect. Everything we saw during the disassembly for the restoration reconfirmed the low mileage. The frame was damage / rust free with sound welds. Other than media blast and powder coat there were no modifications to the frame. The body did not have even the slightest repair to any panel.

Although this car is show ready, it is a Driver, No Trailer Queen, No rust, No corrosion, No smoke, No dirt or gravel roads, No rain, No fluid leaks, No bling, No modern aftermarket 'wagon wheel' wheels. The underbody, frame, engine bay, and wheel wells are new appearing, clean, and bright. Always garage kept with car cover.

There was no intention of selling this car when restoring it, and thus there was no 'cutting corners', or rushing to 'sell to make a profit'. This would be a good time to state that I have an aversion for rust and corrosion no matter how small or insignificant. Without trying to bore, hear are three examples of the depth of the restoration / rebuild: 1) There are two underbody seat belt reinforcement steel plates that anchor the seat belts. They were removed by drilling out the aluminum rivets; bead blasted; primed and painted black both sides, and reinstalled with new, correct rivets. Most certainly the plates were originally unpainted, I choose to paint them. 2) The convertible top frame was stripped, and then shipped to a company that specializes in frame restoration - disassembled, bead blasted, painted, and reassembled with new correct bushings. The new vinyl top has the correct date code. 3) A new bell housing-to-transmission tunnel foam collar was installed as well as the heat shield in the transmission tunnel.

This car is an old school sleeper with L88 performance you can actually drive on the street. The only exterior clue of modifications is the L88 hood. The large aluminum radiator, electric fans, and coolant recovery system are perfect for any big block and works well in Tucson's plus 100º summers for this application. There has never been overheating, even in stop-and-go traffic in the summer.

If the original numbers matching driveline is preferred, the LT-1 small block engine and Muncie 4-speed transmission are included with the purchase of the car. Additionally the original LT-1 hood is also included.

The original LT-1 engine numbers are: front passenger side - stamped 12S518704V0329CKY; rear drivers side - cast-in GM, 3970014, and C8 72; rear passenger side - cast-in T1 and CONV 2, the cast-in clock is at 1 o'clock.

The Muncie 4-speed M21 transmission numbers are: passenger side - stamped 12S518704 and P2D05B, cast-in 3925661.

And yes, the vacuum wiper door works.
