Description:

1972 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Custom

1972 Chevy K10 350 V8 TH350 Automatic Mud Truck Off Road Vehicle Race Ready or Convert to Road Use.

For sale is a Stock Class Mud racer. This truck is not so converted that it could not be easily returned to street use. It has been a mud racer for more than 20 years and has not been subjected to salt or road abuse, but it has seen non-stop mud every summer for decades. With that, it has dents, bends, and mud everywhere you can imagine despite my efforts to keep it clean. There are drain holes in certain places to keep mud/water from building up. This should be taken into consideration when purchasing.

Overall: Good condition truck with little rust or serious damage. Interior converted to bucket seats. 6" lift (3" suspension, 3" body). Unnecessary electronics disabled for safety. Vinyl graphics are removable. Registered "Hobbyist" in Wisconsin. Actual mileage is unknown since the speedometer has not been connected to the correct size tires in an unknown amount of time.

Details:

Title: 1972 K10 Pickup Truck

Chassis: Date coded 1969 Chevrolet 1/2 and 3/4 ton Truck Chassis. Stock cab and bed. Front bumper. No rear bumper (can be included on request), no tailgate (airgate included, I can get a tailgate on request).

Front suspension/Differential: Dana 44, Leaf Springs (3/4 Ton), Heavy Duty ¾ Ton Axle, 3.73 gears, Slugged hubs. WARN standard lockout hubs included. 3" Suspension Lift. Spicer Axle Joints. 6 bolt wheel hubs. 1980's factory disk brakes.

Rear Suspension: GM 12-bolt with 3.73 gears, locked differential, leaf springs, converted to disk brakes, 6 bolt wheel hubs. Heavy duty ¾ ton axles.

Steering/Brakes: Manual brakes with installed proportioning valve. Stops well but could use routing and bleeding/proportioning for street use. Power steering is installed and working correctly. Horn is not enabled.

Drivetrain:

Engine: Chevy 350CID Block, Chevy Performance 4 bolt block, purchased new in 2016. Forged pistons, stock rods, performance crankshaft, 906 Vortec heads with worked over valves and clearances. Thin head gasket for increased compression. Comp cams 12-246-3 Kit XE274H-10, double springs, pump up lifters, standard rockers, hardened pushrods, double roller timing chain, Edelbrock inake, 650 holley street avenger worked over by AED Performance, high volume electric water pump, aluminum 4 row radiator, dual electric fans with manual controls, manual fuel pump, power steering pump, no alternator (one will be included upon request), heavy duty marine deep cycle battery, super tall air cleaner, magnetic pickup distributor, MSD Box, 8mm spark plug wires, Vortec spark plugs, felpro gaskets, sensors for oil pressure and temp, lots of extra fuses for safety. No voltage regulator. Blueprinted, Balanced, and professionally assembled. Runs on 110 race gas, but should do fine on 91 according to the builder. Currently, I have it advanced to its best possible performance. Engine built Spring of 2016. 7 races on it. Broken in on the Dyno.

425HP, 450Tq dyno verified. Yes, on a 350CID chevy with OEM heads no porting.

Transmission: Chevy TH350 and NP 205 Transfer case. Super loose torque converter. Stock torque converter included. Leaks a bit from the tail shaft due to grit (all the seals leak a bit, but that's a mud truck). Does not need fluid added except in the spring. Balanced and improved drive shafts. Forward shift manual valve body with competition shifter. Transfer case shifter in place and working correctly. Has 4-low, 4-high, 2-high, and neutral.

10 gallon fuel cell relocated to truck bed for safety. DOT legal cell.

Tires: 34x9.5x15 TSL super swampers DOT legal mud terrain tires. All hold air. No tubes. Aluminum rims. Street tires on steel rims included. Tires in good shape. Truck could do with 38'' tall tires, it has the power to turn them. Wheels shimmed to line up and track straight.

Exhaust: Custom headers, 3.5'' collectors, tiny race mufflers with bolt on full mufflers for neighborhood hearing protection. Exhaust exits under the truck.

Other notes:

Mud sealed. All sealing is removable. All glass is good with no cracks. Wipers work. Starter button, but key is still there and can be enabled. Cut-off and kill switches. Accessory switches. Racing tachometer. Monitoring gauges. Relocated fuel tank. Battery in standard location with upgrade hold-down. No side mirrors. Rear view mirror is still in place. Most of the parts on this truck are date code 1969 or as noted. Front grill is pretty beat up, but the truck is all there. It runs, it drives, it races, it does its job.

Overall, this is a hard running, race winning truck. It does its job and it does it well. I'm ready to move up to the ‘modified' class so it is time to pass this truck along to the next mud lover. Please feel free to message me for questions or to request my phone number to talk about the truck. You can't build this truck for what I'm asking for it, so take advantage of the opportunity.

You cannot drive this truck home. Bring a trailer or arrange shipping. I can deliver locally for a price negotiatedafter the sale. No delivery included with the sale. No warranties of any kind. Sold completely as is, where is. VIN:CCE142F349915
