Description:

1986 Chevrolet El Camino Base

Up for auction due to a health issue is my 1986 Chevy El Camino. It has a nice 350 crate engine updated with a Comp Cams 270H cam, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold, Holley carb and headers with true dual exhaust including X pipe. The trans is a rebuilt 4 speed automatic with shift kit, but too be honest it shifts way too hard and probably should be toned down for every day driving. It runs great, sounds awesome and is lots of fun, but it's more of a race car than a daily driver. The rear is a 373 posi with Hoosier (I think?) HD axles, but it needs to be rebuilt, although I've been driving it everywhere just the way it is the rear tends to clunk a little when it shifts hard. It has cruise, AC, power windows and locks, but the AC needs to be charged, the cruise needs to be hooked back up to the carb and the power door locks don't work. The windows work, but they go up a tad slow and I have new motors that I haven't installed yet. It has new door seals, window scrapers and tailgate seals installed and I have the upper window seals that I haven't installed yet. It also has a new rebuilt 140 mph speedometer with the factory tach & gauge package and the oil pressure gauge is new, but it needs a new sender. It's been lowered with heavy duty springs both front and rear with new KYB Gas-A-Just shocks. It also has beefy Hellwig sway bars front and rear. It has mini tubs done by narrowing and boxing the frame in the rear to get 15 X 10 Rally wheels with 275/60-15 tires. The fronts are 15 X 7 Rally wheels with both Derby caps and flat disc brake caps. The paint looks good from 20 feet away, but when you get up close in the right light you can see lots of flaws in the prep. It has a keyless remote with an alarm. It has an aftermarket Pioneer CD player with USB drive and 2 boxed 6X9 speakers. The bed has been rhino lined. The previous owner gave me receipts totaling $4,700 that included rebuilding the complete front end with new ball joints, bushings, etc, rear end and the transmission, but didn't include the crate engine or paint, so somebody put a ton of money in this car, plus all that I've put into it. Also, there's isn't a bit of rust anywhere on this car, even under the lower windshield trim where G Body cars tend to rust. I know that because I removed it to install a new heater core. You could fly in and drive it anywhere of if you're nearby come by and see it up close and drive it. If you're looking for a nice cruise night vehicle, this is it! The reserve is crazy low, so bid to win!

I keep thinking of things I forgot to mention...It also has brand new bumpers front and rear. It has a factory trailer hitch that helps to tighten up the suspension. New brighter LED lights in the gauge cluster, with new fuel and oil pressure gauges...The previous owner had some trouble with the fender mounted antennae and ended up distorted the fender hole by trying to over tighten it, so I think he gave up and drilled a hole in the roof and mounted an ugly antennae, but I took it off and plugged the hole with a black plug. You can't even notice it unless your looking for it, but I wanted to be honest about everything. I was gonna fix the fender antennae when I took the inner fender down to reinstall the HVAC vacuum line, but it's hard for me to get around after some major surgery. The lower antennae guide bracket just needs to be tweaked a little, but you have to take the inner fender down to get to it. The HVAC vacuum line needs to be hooked back up to make the dash vents work properly. The heat works great...Feel free to ask any questions!
