Description:

1966 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa

UPDATE: see bottom of page.
A Real 1966 Corsa Convertible. Less than 4000 built. But if you are reading thi, you probably know that .
Best sounding corvair I've ever heard. At least before the clunking sound. It dropped a valve seat on #2. I figure it's going to be about $2000 to fix it correctly. Could get by cheaper if you know someone I guess. Here are the things I've done to it in the last 3 yrs:BrakesLeather/power seats from a 2007 NissanExhaust( awesome sound)Shocks and springs ( all 4)Entire front end. (It squeaks a bit sometimes but it's all new. I think it needs adjusting better)Cleaned and painted the door panels (with the right paint. It looks fine)CenterLine wheels. Not new but look good.
The top keeps most of the rain out but should be replaced. No through rust that I know of. There was some through spots in the drivers fender but it wasn't bad. I cleaned it up and fixed it with bondo. You may want to look at that if you paint it.Needs to be painted. It's a 20' car . It's good from a far, but far from good.
The power seats work but the driver side is unplugged because I hooked them to Battery power not" key on" power. So the driver seat slowly drains the battery if plugged in.
Mileage isn't correct. Odometer doesn't work but speedometer does .The engine is out right now so I'll put it back in enough to trailer the car.All the parts I removed are tagged and bagged. I took pics and notes as I disassembled it.
I'm selling it local too so if it sells I'll remove the auction. I hope that's not an eBay no no. Because I'm doing it.
UPDATES:I add more pics as requested.
Someone asked why I don't just fix it. Good question. The simple answer is I'm just not interested enough. I've had it for three year and it's been fun. If this didn't happen I would still be enjoying it. I'm just ready to get an Opel GT.
I will answer any question about the car and make it visible on the post.
