Description:

1972 Chevrolet Other Pickups Base

1972 (67-72 body style) Chevy C50 (2.5 ton) truck for sale. It originally had a 14' long storage box on the back. The storage box was removed, the frame was shortened 8', a rust free 1972 long bed (8') was mounted on the chassis with bed custom mounts, a nice tailgate was found and installed, a new split exhaust was built by apache muffler, a rear wiring harness by american auto wire was installed, new markers lights and tail lights were installed, a new radiator was installed, a new and larger carb was installed, and a complete Kodiak/Topkick rear suspension and rear axle was then installed. The truck has very low original mileage (46,000+) and still has the original small block 350. It runs great, passes emissions, and gets the truck down the road at 50+mph. The Tranny is the original manual 4 speed sm/ch 465. The rear end is out of a 2004 Kodiak/Topkick. The rear axle gears are 4.11's, the rear tires are decent, and the brakes are scary strong! A new drive shaft was built and is installed. The interior is in great shape for its age. All of the interior options are deleted due to the fact that this truck was a work truck. Remember, this cab interior is the same as a C10 so parts and trim will inner change. I do have the Kodiak/Topkick front suspension. The entire front end will go along in the sale of the truck so that the new owner can tackle the install or have a shop do it for them. Truck has been sitting for about 6 months, but put in fresh fluids right before it sat. I'll probably have people from eight states away ask if they can get in the truck and drive it back home on the freeway. Could it be done? Sure... probably won't have any major issues. However, this truck is 45 years old and is basically original, so you never know what might shake loose, wearout, break free, etc. If it were me, I would either have it transported with a carrier or trailer it yourself. I have a wife and twokids, so taking unnecessary risks isn't something I'm into. Awesome truck, tons of potential and no disappointments here. Will not sell to someonewith zero feedback. Please do not bid if you're not ready to pay. Thanks
