1968 ChevroletImpala Convertible. Originally camewith a 327, now has a 454. I boughtthe car in 2010. Bench seat and column shifter with original, numbers-matching Turbo 400 automatic in good condition. Runs great, driven regularly since 2010. Power top works great. Top frame is straight, goes up and down with no problems and latcheswith no problems. Top is in good shape. Engine is over-the-counter factory 454installed by a dealer inthe 80s, with factorykickdown linkage. No oil leaks. Block casting number is14015445. According to repair receipts and registration records, mileage is original and still under 50,000. Manual windows. Powersteering. I addedfour wheel power disc brakes with a kit from Matt's Classic Bow Ties. New heavy-duty rear axle installed when brakes were done, differential was also rebuilt. Stops like a newHonda Accord. Discs are slottedand vented, 12" front and 11" rear. Installed new dual exhaust with new Magnaflow mufflers. Runs quiet inside the car, sounds great outsidethe car. New gas tank.Front suspension completely rebuilt to factory specs- not lowered- with all newUpper & Lower Ball Joints, Upper & Lower Control Arms & Bushings, Inner & Outer Tie Rod Ends & Sleeves & New Idler Arm Assembly, and polyurethane bushings. New shocks and springs all around. Has factory intake manifold with custom block off plate. InstalledOriginal-styleCorvette 427 AirCleaner with flame arrestor and vacuum connection. Comes with factory metal spacer for carburetor from 80's 454 Chevy Truck. Changed oil last fall, using Mobil One Synthetic and K&N Oil Filter. NOS SS Tail Lights. New Plugs included. Bodypanelsare solid. Doors are aligned-they open and close almostlike new. Top does not leak in the rain. Floors and trunk are solid, drain plugs removed. Original color. No major rust. Upholstery is good with no major tears. Carpet is decent, no major holes. Still has original top boot and well liner in good shape. Chrome around top well has a couple dings butlooks nice. Bumpers and Chrome trim are good but not re-chromed yet. Glass is good and original. Glasswindow in convertible top is also good. Lights and signals all work. Haslarge four-row aluminum radiator and runs cool. No coolant leaks. Tires are decent, notcracked or weathered. One spare rally wheel with dented trim ring included. GREAT project car, fundaily driver already. Needs full restoration to be perfect but it's all there. Buyer pays all shipping. Drive anywhere if you're smart about it- it's almost fifty yearsold and unrestored.
