This exceptionally clean Chevelle is a classy stunner that mixes 426 cubic inches of supercharged LS3 with a modern driveline, thoroughly updated chassis components and an air conditioned ultraleather cockpit. And if you're looking for some choice muscle that's road ready, show-ready and just plain battle-ready, it's the perfect way to prowl the scene and bruise a few egos!

BODYWORK/TRIM

The product of a $120K rotisserie restoration that's logged less than 200 miles since its July, 2016 completion, this clean Chevy features athletic aesthetics that are ready for prime time. The car's solid body mixes original floors with original rockers, original doors, GM quarters and Auto Metal Direct fenders. Naturally, that smooth metal was laboriously worked through walnut-blasting, etching and numerous layers of primer that were thoroughly block-sanded. That primer served as an excellent foundation for custom silver base, which centered Metallic Black Super Sport stripes under five layers of professionally buffed clear. And presently, this coupe rolls as an enticing slice of Motor City muscle that's sure to please ANY red-blooded car enthusiast!

Many people view early '70s Chevelles as the pinnacle of both muscle car and classic Chevy design. At the front of this sophisticated street fighter, a requisite Super Sport grille hangs a prominent "SS" emblem between a small "CHEVELLE" script, NOS T3 headlights and a brilliant chrome bumper. Opposite that bumper, a pinned ZL2 hood flows to new glass, polished mirrors and pristine GM trim. At the base of that trim, straight wheel frames, chrome door handles and NOS GM marker lamps complement trick LSX badging and traditional Super Sport fender emblems. And at the back of the car, a second brilliant bumper hangs a requisite Super Sport inlay between NOS GM taillights, a fresh "Chevelle by Chevrolet" script and polished stainless exhaust tips.

ENGINE

Hoist the hood and you'll find 426 cubic inches of Wegner Automotive LS3 that, capable of creating a killer 886 horsepower, is presently tuned to 750 pavement-scorching horses! At the top of that $30K mill, a monochromatic air tube bridges the gap between a reusable filter element and a 102mm TPiS throttle body. That body feeds a 2.9 liter Whipple supercharger that's dialed to six pounds of boost. That boost flows in to GM LSA heads, which are flooded by Holley Dominator fuel injection. A forged Callies rotating assembly joins a custom cam to compress that volatile union. Spent gases roll through coated Hedman Husler Hedders. A Ron Davis radiator rides between a custom expansion tank, two SPAL cooling fans and a color-keyed, "LSX" branded cowl. And a smooth Wegner accessory drive spins GM power steering beneath a black AC compressor and a black Powermaster alternator. The fully studded engine's subdued bay is clean and completely detailed thanks to a professional install that was conducted by One Guy's Garage of Lakeville, Minnesota. And items like Wegner plug wires, Wegner valve covers, a fresh Optima battery and fresh CPP brake components are a testament to the car's top-notch detailing.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Beneath this Chevy, a clean undercarriage tells the story of a fresh, high-dollar restoration. Rock-solid floorpans, sealed in silver 2-stage, join a powdercoated frame to set the perfect backdrop for a roster of high quality parts. Behind the immaculate small block, a Proformance-built 4L80E 4-speed utilizes a lock up converter to spin a Precision Shaft Technologies driveshaft. That chromoly tube twists a 12-bolt, limited-slip rear end that, before being fully powdercoated, was upfitted with .5-inch studs and Moser 35-spline axles. That excellent drivetrain rolls on a powder-coated F41 Sport Suspension that's been upgraded with tubular control arms, double-adjustable Viking coil-overs and modern power steering. Power-assisted Wilwood calipers, 4-piston out back and 6-piston up front, utilize custom lines to squeeze a quartet of vented rotors. Juice is provided by a new GM fuel tank, which makes excellent use of Aeromotive Stealth pumps and a Holley boost-reference regulator. A sweet but equally brutal soundtrack is channeled through 3-inch, Mandrel-bent pipes, which hang an X-shaped crossover in front of big cut-outs and polished Pypes Race Pro mufflers. Power meets the pavement through polished Billet Specialties blades, which turn 275/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 G2s in front of 305/35R19 Mickey Thompson Street S/S. And detail items include a Holley oil pan, braided fluid lines, a TCI transmission pan and a remote transmission cooler that's complete with a fan.

INTERIOR

Featuring a host of custom accents that were installed by Outlaw Upholstery of Lakeville, Minnesota, this coupe's crisp, ultraleather cockpit is both inviting and unique. Its trick bench seats, which feature thick bolsters under tasteful silver accents, show no signs of wear. In front of those thrones, a straight Super Sport dash hangs electroluminescent Dakota Digital telemetry above controls for Vintage Air conditioning. Below that dash, black carpet floats color-keyed mats around a custom consolette, which plants a convenient cupholder next to a Performance Drivetrain Solutions pushbutton shifter. At the sides of that rug, Legendary door panels center chrome handles and classy stainless trim on pliable armrests. Above those panels, an ultraleather headliner creeps to ultraleather sail panels and a custom ultraleather package tray. In front of the driver, a leather-wrapped Billet Specialties steering wheel laps polished spokes and a requisite bowtie. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk features plenty of cargo space.

When it comes to performance, durability and sheer intimidation, nothing beats a good old GM workhorse. And thanks to a high quality, performance-minded restoration, this clean coupe wraps a killer drivetrain in a capable chassis and precise aesthetics. Looking for some standout muscle that'll provide years of great memories? Don't miss the chance to add this sweet Chevelle to your collection!
