1968 Chevrolet C-10

Beautiful Restored 1968 Chevy C10 Short Bed Step Side Pickup V8 with RARE 5 Speed Manual Transmission. The entire restoration took over a year and was just completed in December. This great classic pickup is show quality selling at a driver price. The truck has NEW very high-end PPG base coat/clear coat paint in Blue Metallic. The truck was taken down to bare metal, primed with three coats of etching primer, sanded, primed with three more coats of urethane primer and sanded then base coated with four coats of PPG base coat, then four coats of clear on top of that. The finish has been color sanded and buffed for a mile deep finish look. The body (all original steel – except rocker panels and bed floor) has been carefully gone over to remove dents and dings and any rust. The truck has a new wood bed with stainless steel floor rails fitted over a new steel bed floor (for extra strength). The wood for the bed is Norway Spruce imported from Sweden. This wood was chosen for it exceptional beauty and for its very desirable decay and rot resistance. The interior is all new with new black carpet over rubber sound/heat mats (shown in photo) which make the truck very quiet.Interior features new upholstery (black bucket seats – they look grey in the photos but they are deep black), new dash, new shift boot, new Grant steering wheel, new gauges for water temp, oil and amps, new arm rest, new door and window handles, new weather stripping on doors and vent windows, new felt on window channel and stainless door sills.A new Bluetooth radio and hi-end speakers complete the package making it a pleasure to ride in. The truck has a rebuilt Small Block V-8 high performance engine producing about 300 HP with new 650 CFM Holley carb, New 80,000 volt HEI distributer, new fuel pump and new battery, headers and mild cam. One other very rare item in this truck is the 5 speed manual floor shifter giving the truck great low end grunt and super highway gas milage. New brakes and new brake wheel cylinders on all four wheels along with a new master cylinder and 20 inch chrome wheels and low profile tires make it very easy to drive. The frame has been sand blasted and painted with rust proof paint and the entire truck has been undercoated for future protection. It looks almost as good on the underside as it does on the top side (see photos). This truck is ready to drive anywhere and will turn heads and get thumbs up at every stop sign and red light. You will love driving this classic super cool great looking truck. The truck is built to be a show winner for local shows but please do not think that for under $30,000 your getting a national show winner. This C10 is a great super good looking truck but not perfect....if you want perfect, I will be glad to build you one for about $80,000 to $100,000. I built this truck to be a gorgeous daily driver and weekend local show truck that anyone can afford and be very proud to own and drive...nothing more nothing less. PS: I am retired and build these trucks as a hobby and not to make a ton of money on. I have been building them for over 40 years so I know what I am doing. I encourage you to come see the truck in person because once you see it, you will make sure you are the high bidder….it is that nice.I am located in north Georgia and easy to get to if you want to see and drive it in person prior to bidding (just contact me through eBay). For the record, the speedometer and some of the original gauges do not work (aftermarket oil, water temp and volts installed in the factory cluster do work perfect). The truck is sold with “Bill of Sale” only as is normally the case with older vehicles (most states do not require title for vehicles this old but if your state requires one, you can work with your DMV to get one). The truck is fully street legal and currently licensed (tagged) in GA.This 1968 C10 being almost 50 years old is sold “as is” with no warranty express or implied. All information given above is correct to the best of my knowledge but I am not responsible for any errors or misprints.A $500 deposit is required immediately on winning the bid with the balance due within 7 days in cash or bank wire transfer. Please understand that if you bid on this truck and win you are under full obligation to complete the purchase…period…. as people who play games of this sort prevent serious buyers from winning the vehicle.Good luck…I can help arrange shipping if needed. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.
