Description:

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396

WELL HERE WE G, THE ONE WE HEAR ABOUT, AND SO TRUE, I OBTAINED THIS CAR FROM A LOCAL MAN WHO PURCHASED THIS CAR BACK IN 1983 IN ROSSVILLE GEORGIA FROM A LITTLE CAR LOT.UNTIL NOVEMBER 2016 HE PASSED AWAY AND THE CAR HAD TO BE SOLD TO COVER FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS. I PURCHASED THIS CAR TO HELP THE FAMILY OUT, I AM NOT A CHEVY MAN SO DONT ASK ME A BUNCH OF QUESTIONS.I AM GOING TO SELL IT TO TRY TO MOVE ON. I HAVE A LOT OF THINGS GOING AND THIS CAR DOES NOT NEED TO BE SITTING OUTSIDE. THE CAR WILL BE GARAGED DURING THIS AUCTION.AS FOR THE WORST, THE LEFT REAR 1/4 PANEL SEEMS AS IF IT WAS HIT SOME YEARS BACK, NOT REAR ENDED, BUT HIT DIRECTLY,AND IT WAS A AMATURE REPAIR, ITS RIPLEY AND THERE IS RUST AT THE BOTTOM OF THE 1/4 PANEL AS PICTURED, I WILL SAY THATS THE WORST PART ABOUT THE CAR. THE FRONT LOWER FENDERS HAVE RUS, BUT REPAIRABLE, ALSO BOTTOM OF DOORS BUT MINOR FOR THE CAR BEING A 69. THE RIGHT REAR 1/4 IS DECENT BUT AGAIN THE CAR NEEDS TO BE RESTORED BUT YOU HAVE A GREAT STARTING POINT, I THINK A GOOD BODY GUY COULD HAVE THE CAR DONE IN A COUPLE WEEKS IF HE STAYED WITH IT. THE PAINT IS NOT CRAKED JUST FADED OUT,THE BEST PART IS THIS CAR JUST SCREAMS 1980, THE PATINA MAKES THIS CAR LOOK LIKE A TRUE SURVIVOR, WHEN I BROUGHT THE CAR HOME PEOPLE WERE ASKING ME IS THAT THE ORIGINAL PAINT? IT DOES HAVE THAT SATIN SHEEN AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE RED PRIMER COMING THRU, ITREALLY HAS THAT ORIGINAL LOOK, THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES FANTASTIC! BRAKES WORK GREAT, CLUTCH GOES IN NIC, ALL GEARS SHIFT WELL, CD PLAYER SOUNDS REAL GOOD AS WELL. THE CAR DOES HAVE THE 12 BOLT REAR END,THE EXHAUST LOOKS FAIRLY NEW FRONT TO BACK AND SOUNDS GOOD, ALL HEADLIGHTS, TURN SIGNALS, GAS GAUGE ALL WORK, HAS 1 SPLIT IN THE DAS, I DO HAVE BRAND NEW DOOR PANELS THAT WILL GO WITH THE CAR AS THE ORIGINAL ONES ARE OLD AND NASTY. IT HAS A MUNCIE 4SPEED, 396 BIG BLOCK I ALSO DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL VALVE COVERS THAT CAME OFF THE ENGINE IN THE 80S WHEN THEY BOUGHT IT, I HAVE MORE PICTS IF YOU NEED THEM I COULD ONLY PUT ON SO MANY, THE FLOOR PANS, FRAME, AND STRUCTURAL IS IN GREAT SHAPE FOR THE AGE OF THE VECHICLE, NO VISABLE OIL LEAK, THE TRUNK FLOOR ALSO SEEMS REAL NICE, IT LOOKS AS IF THE FATHER WAS GOING TO DO COSMETIC STUFF AND THEN SUDDENLY PASSED AWAY. THE INTERIOR IS ALSO EXCELLENT EXCEPT FOR THE DOOR PANELS YOU WILL HAVE TO PUT ON, IT HAS A HOLLEY CARBURATOR I DONT KNOW IF THATS WHAT CAME ON THE CAR OR NOT TO BE HONEST, I ALSO HAVE NOT RAN NUMBERS ON ENGINE SO BID AS IF ITS NOT ORIGINAL TO THE CA, I AM OUT OF TOWN UNTIL NEXT SUNDAY SO I CANT CHECK.IF YOU NEED ANY INFO FEEL FREE TO CALL ME JIM 423-260-5985 AGAIN THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES PERFECT, TIRES ARE DRY ROTTED SO YOU WILL NEED TO TRAILER IT BUT AGAIN THE CAR DRIVES VERY GOOD! THE ENGINE IS ALSO QUIE, NO SMOKING OR NOISES, ALSO IT DOES HAVE DISC BRAKES, I LOOKED CAREFULLY AT THE EMBLEMS AND IT SEEMS AS IF THIS CAR IS THE REAL DEAL, ALL HOLES LOOK FACTORY, I HAVE NO DOCUMENTATION WITH THE CAR, AND I HAVE NOT LOOKED, BUT I DO HAVE A CLEAR TITLE FOR THE CAR, AGAIN IF IT WAS MY CHOICE ID LEAVE IT JUST THE WAY IT IS AND DRIVE IT AND ENJOY IT, OR YOU CAN TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL, BUT NO MATTER YOU HAVE A PRETTY DECENT CAR FOR BEING 46 YRS OLD. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR FUNDS IN PLACE BEFORE YOU BID, I CAN ALSO HELP IN TRANSPORTATION AND I DO SHIP OVERSEAS.
