1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

This is an excellent example of an original survivor IROC. I bought this car from a collector in Indiana about 2 years ago. I spent about 6 months looking for the best possible IROC-Z w/ TPI manual I could find and this was it. I paid several hundred dollars to an auto inspection company to verify the claims of the original 33,998 mileage (at that time) and vehicle's original condition. I have a copy of the report and can email it. I flew up to Indianapolis and drove the car back to Texas. The car drove great with no issues along the 1000 mile journey.
I believe the guy I bought the car from was the 2nd or 3rd owner. The car's original owner must have been a collector due to condition of the car and the documentation. It comes with a book that includes window sticker, sales receipt, manual, and other documents. The car appears to have been kept inside its entire life as the paint is in showroom condition.
Before driving the car down from Indianapolis, I put new tires on it. Although the tires had lots of tread, they were 10 years old, so I expect it wasn't driven much over that time. I replaced the wheels with versions original to 1989. The guy I bought it from had put a flowmaster on it, which was loud, so I replaced the exhaust (manifolds to tailpipe) with a dual cat system similar to the G92. It has a nice low tone but is not loud.
Although 3rd gen cars are increasing in value, the most affordable hobby car will be one that doesn't need any restoration....like this car.
