Up for auction is a very rare, low mileage, numbers matching 1971 Chevy Nova. This Nova has 83,800 original miles and is equipped with itsoriginal 307 V8 and 3 speedmanual transmission on the floor. This car was built on April 2, 1971 and sold new on May 5, 1971 in Great Falls, MT and still retains its original warranty Protecto Plate, 1971 Nova owner's manual, the original Chevrolet dealership document folder, and an original broadcast sheet found under the rear seat. This car had been in storage on jack stands with the second owner since 2001 and has just been brought back to runningcondition over 15 years later. The interior of this car is 100% original and shows well for its age. The dash has a few minor cracks in the vinyl pad and there are a few cracks in the vinyl side bolsters of the front bench seat. There is one section of the headliner that hasstarted toseparate, but is in good shape otherwise. The factory velour seat inserts arefree of any stains, rips, or tears and the door panels have very minimal wear. The original rubber floor liner is still intact and has just one small crack in the passenger front footwell. The exterior of the car is very straight aside from a few minor door dings, a crease beneath thepassenger side door, and a dent in the passenger reartaillight housing near the trunk lid. The paintretains a very nice shine and looks excellent for a 25 year old paint job, but there are a few imperfections throughout. The original front bumper is in excellentcondition and a brand new rear bumper was just installed alongwith a new stainless trimpiece across the front of the hood. The car does has some minimal rust in both rearquarters and one small spot of rust at the bottom of the front driver's side fender near the door. Otherthan those 3 areas the car is completely rust freeincluding the trunk pan, floor pans, firewall, door bottoms and rockers. The car is currently fitted with 15x7 Chevrolet Rally wheels with two brand new BFGoodrich Radial T/As on the front. The interior dome light, reverse lights, andblinkers still work butthe side marker lights are notfunctioning. The engine runs well but could use a thorough tune up since it has sat for such a longperiod of time. The transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch engages well. The manual brakes work but are a bit spongy. Thepower steering is very smooth as well. The heat blows hot and the fan speed switch works, although the defrost lever is missing. The radioilluminates and turns on, but only plays static. The fuel gauge isalso inoperable. This is very clean, unmolested survivor car and can be driven as-is or would be a great start for a restoration project. Please call 208-641-9852 or 208-640-3246 for more info.
