Description:

1983 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500

This Arizona truck started life as a 1/2 Ton 2WD with a 6cyl engine and this is how it's titled. At some point in its past a donor, 1987 V30/ 4x4 frame and components were put under this body. I do have the title for the donor truck and the vehicle history report will be provided to the new buyer. The history report is absolutely spotless and shows 1987/ V30/ 5.7L V8 OHV 16V, Regular Cab 2-Dr 4WD.
This is a throttle body, 350 engine, 4 speed (includes granny gear) the drive train is at least 3/4 ton if not 1Ton with the good transfer case (I'm not an expert on these, I was told it was an NP205, buyer to look at photos), 4:10 gears, full float rear, 14 bolt, 8 lug axles, heavy duty leaf springs, suspension and steering components, Warn locking hubs, power steering and brakes, headers, new duel exhaust, new slave cylinder, new steering box, both rear axle seals have been professionally replaced, brakes are awesome, clutch is very good, very new mud tires (LT 265/ 75/ R16 new by me), sliding rear window, nice grill and chrome guard, no rust with the exception of minor southwestern surface rust in like the bed and on the rear bumper and a couple other spots, never any holes anywhere, see photos
This is obviously a southwestern truck, never any rust, just minor surface rust in a couple places, very minor dents only, very straight body. From what I can determine the only body filler is in the passenger bed corner at the bumper (very small amount, slightly obvious) I believe if you want, this paint would buff out to shine like a new penny, it's a little "milky" and it wasn't important to me to have it shiny.. Working duel fuel tanks as well, gas gauges work for both, I put in a new fuel pump in the driver side tank along with a new in cab duel fuel tank switch. Has an alarm with key fob and detachable face CD player.
I had the AC checked, no leaks and its been professionally recharged. I replaced a few parts before I had it recharged. It doesn't blow hard as the vent tube in the dash isn't connected to the passenger side dash vent, but it will keep you from frying on the extreme heat. New windshield, new fan motor...glass is good, sliding rear window, wipers lights and turn signals work, new battery this last summer.
This truck runs cool.... Never been hot or overheated... Not even close. Goes down the freeway perfect... Just not so fast because of the gearing... All the oil levels are checked and good, no leaks anywhere. I added a temperature gauge to be able to exactly monitor temps...dash temp gauge works as well. This is a very honest, clean working truck, not many like this around.
Thumbs up every time I drive it....
This is registered as a classic here in Arizona... I've not tried to run it through smog check. It appears to have most of the smog parts, and lines on it. I have a small box of parts that go with the truck. This is my personal truck which I've owned for I think 4 or so years.
The only know "problem" is if the truck site for a couple months the battery will now drain down. This is bummer because it used to be perfect. I had the alarm installed a few months ago and now this happened once. I don't know if it will be a long term issue but to be sure I installed a batter cut-off switch. If I know the truck is gonna sit for a few months I disconnect the battery. I thought it best to leave the alarm in, disconnect the battery and throw a battery tender on it so its always ready.
Thanks for looking, this is a nice piece and very fun to drive....gonna miss this one, just don't need it anymore.....kid wants a car.
