1973 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

Up for auction is a beautiful 1973 Chevy Corvette Convertible 4 Speed Red with Saddle Leather and Black top. This was not my car but here is the info that was given to me. About 7 Years a restoration was started on the car and from what im told about theres about $35000 invested in the car. The exterior was completely stripped down to the fiberglass, epoxy primer was done then sanded back then 6 coats of red and 2 coats of clear were sprayed and then the whole car was wet sanded flat to give it a mirrorlike finish. New Chrome rear bumpers installed. New Weather stripping in areas installed. The soft top was also replaced. The interior also appearsto have been redone or freshend up, new leather installed, speedo and tach rebuilt etc, looks beautiful. The engine and transmission was removed, engine compartment was blacked out. The engine was gone over and painted. The motor runs great! The transmission was rebuilt new clutch was installed. The whole brake system was also gone over. The exhaustsystem also appearsto have been replaced but it does need new mufflers. The list goes on and on the car looks beautiful! After the car was completed it was never really driven it just sat in the shop 2 years. There are a few things on the car that I noticed needed some attention, the headlights aren'tworking, the center gauges are not working and the hood latches on the body were not reinstalled. The exterior the only thing i noticed was a very small chip on the front bumper other than that I would say the paint is near show quality. There was ALOT of money invested in this car so at the asking price the car is a great deal! Please call with ALL questions before bidding on the car again the information I have wrote in the ad is the info that was provided to me so please Call 347-770-5731 with as many questions as you have. I have only driven the car in the parking lot and it seemed to run great, stops, steers and shifts the way it should but since I don't know the car i would say it should be given a once over before putting it on the open road. Due to the cars age its being sold as-is.
