1967 Chevrolet Corvette L71 427/425HP
In December of 2013 this 1967 L71 finally came available after being in storage since 1982. The plates still have the May 1982 registration tags. In researching the owners it appears that the car has always been owned in the northern California area and resides there today in Lakeport. So since December of ‘13 it has been a continuous effort of rebuilding cleaning and polishing and now everything works perfectly except for the clock. The car has not been restored just brought back to original working condition. We were able to salvage the top portion of the tank sheet which shows that it is indeed an L71. Unfortunately somewhere along the line someone blew the engine and replaced it with a ‘68 with a single carb set-up. There is no rust on the frame or bird cage and the bonding strips are all original and in perfect shape. The paint been refreshed and looks awesome. This is an exceptionally clean never wrecked car that really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. There are more photos of interior bird cage and bonding strips at this link: http://pheeperzphotography.shootproo...ew#a_all-mason Some of the photos inside the wheel wells appear gold in color due to the poor lighting conditions at the time.
