This ultra-high-performance 396 engine was only available for one year in the Corvette 1965. There would eventually be 2157 customers who would opt for this expensive $292.00 engine option. This particular Corvette retains its original matching numbers engine.

The engine compartment is beautifully detailed. Full ignition shielding and braided spark plug wires are correct for this car optioned with the Delco AM/FM Stereo with power antenna.

The original Winter's casted aluminum intake was replaced long ago with an Edelbrock aluminum intake otherwise correct components are displayed throughout. The factory breather assembly is intact along with the exhaust shielding exhaust manifolds and the Harrison overflow tank.

Several small components have been kept correct including the fuel filter along withvarious clamps and hoses.

The interior is in excellent condition.

The original gauges are intact and functional including the high redline factory tachometer.

The teakwood wheel is the perfect addition to this quality interior. The seat upholstery has been replaced and shows well.

The original VIN and TRIM identification plates are intact and legible.

The undercarriage is solid. This is a Corvette that has spent some time on the road after its restoration. The frame is in good condition as is the suspension front to back. The spare tire carrier is also intact and complete with a spare.

The wheels of choice are the factory steel wheels & spinner hubcaps fitted with the perfect combination of Coker Classic 205/70R15 Gold Line radial tires all around.

The black convertible soft top shows as new.

The paint and body condition is very good to excellent.
