1974 Chevrolet Impala

Sadly it's time to sell my 1974 Chevrolet Impala Sedan. The car is in excellent condition with only 12,711 miles on it, a rare shape for an old sedan. No the odometer has not rolled over and restarted, and the condition of the car shows how little use it's seen. The 350 V-8 starts right up every time and the car drives down the road like the day it left the showroom. I drove this car from New Hampshire to Martha's Vineyard this spring and did 70 mph the whole way without issue.
The interior is in pristine condition with the original floor mats still in excellent shape. The vinyl roof is in perfect condition and the paint on the car is original. There are couple of very small surface rust spots but they are really minor blemishes and have not spread at all. There is zero body rot, bondo, frame rust, or frame rot.
I put 4 brand new tires on this car in the spring as the original bias-ply tires were finally balled. I also just had an oil change done, replaced the fuel filter, and installed a new battery. Lastly, I recently replaced the sending unit (genuine GM part) in the fuel tank because the filter on it got clogged and I cleaned out any debris in the tank.
No antique car can be perfect so here are the few issues. The plastic body trim is getting brittle and starting to break (see pictures) but is easy to replace when/if the car is ever repainted. There is also a crack in the front grill, but a replacement is about $100 bucks on ebay. The two speakers in the car are blown, but I do know the radio works as I sent it out for service last year thinking that may have been the issue. The radio was completely gone through and I even had a hidden aux connector installed so I could plug my phone into it. You would never know the aux connector is there so it does not alter the originality. Lastly, the fuel gauge does not work; I was hoping replacing the sending unit would fix that but it did not.
Besides those few small things the car is in pristine original condition. It was bought by a family friend out of a barn in Maine about 5 years ago and I am only the third owner. The Rowe Chevrolet of Lexington Mass decal is still on the back of the car. I've basically just driven this car for the occasional Sunday drive and can't justify keeping it since I drive it so infrequently. While it is a New England car, it has never seen a winter as it's always garage stored and the lack of rust is proof.
The car is being sold with a bill of sale because NH will not reissue a title for a car this age, along with a copy of my previous registration. The car is available for view on Martha's Vineyard. If you are interested in coming to see it I can give you instructions on riding the ferry and will pick you up with the car at the boat. If you choose to buy the car I will arrange to get the car off the island to meet you or a car carrier in Falmouth, Mass.
