Description:

1979 Chevrolet Camaro

The is a 1979 Chevy Camaro Coupe. Older Restore HotRod. The car is garaged. This car is in very good driving condition. The running gear is excellent. The motor is a 350 four bolt main crate motor with add on's. It has an Edelbrock Intake with an Edelbrock 600CFM carb. Ceramic Headers Turbo Mufflers to dual exhaust. Around 325 HP built to cruise. The transmission is a 350 Turbo rebuilt with a shift kit. It will bark second gear. B&MShifter. Unsure of rear end gearing but it feels positive and will leave patches. The motor and Transmission have less than 3000 miles on them. The car isdriven to shows or weekend trips only. The car actually has 111747 miles on it. There are minor oil drip leaks when sitting for extended periods. I had the oil pan bolts re-tightened and it stopped for several months but then came back. The paint on the car is an above average older paint job. There are some scuffs and scratches hereand there but nothing major. The hood is a steel live induction cowl hood. This is a nice driver not a show car but it does well at shows. The car is rust free. Solid floor pans and trunk pan. The body has a couple of tiny pea size dings in it. The doors open and close ok but could be lined up a bit better. The tail light lenses have the crystalizing stress cracks in them and could be replaced but are structurally fine. The tires are new Cooper Cobra's 215-65-15 on 15 x8 American Mags Torque Thrust wheels on front and 245-60-15 on American Mags Torque Thrust 15 x 10 wheels on back. The wheels show some wear but polish up nicely. There are air shocks in the back forthe lift. The car runs excellent brakes work excellent and the car goes straight when you let the wheel go butfront endis on original parts as far as I know. You feel the road. Power Steering Power Brakes AC car with no AC unit. Radiator has an addedelectric fan with switch below the steering wheel. Windshield wipers Horn Blinkers Headlights Taillights Brake Lights all work. The fan switch will need to be replaced as is works intermittently on one speed. All glass is good but original with the permanent scuff lines you get over the years. Windows and door locks are manual. The interior is a very cool custom tweed like black material. The seats are black vinyl. The center console door hinge is broken but still holds shut. Carpet is in good condition with wear on the drivers side where your feet sit. The headlights have blue halo rings. The live gauges work as does the tachometer and gas guage. The speedometer is 5 miles off because of the 15" tires. If it says your doing 55 mph your really doing 50mph. I normally drive it with a GPS to keep track. The radio CD works but a wire came loose in the trunk for the back speakers.I am too big to climb in there and fix it. I also have the original paper work window stickerand pamphlets as well as the original owners cancelled title that will come with the car. The title is for show only. This car will be sold with a bill of sale only. Georgia does not require or issue titles for classics. We have invested 20000 dollars in this car over the years. It is a perfect canvas to finish out with some new parts. Its time to let it go. We know we wont get anywhere near our investment but the memories and enjoyment are enough. I have described this car to the best of my ability. I would rate this car a solid 8 out of 10 being the best. Please send me any questions you may have.
