1962 CHEVY C10 VIDEO ABOVE ^ ^
As featured on the hit Velocity / Discovery television show Iron Resurrection, this one-off Martin Bros Customs crafted Boulevard Cruisin' Texas truck is a proven crowd pleaser. Fresh from its Iron Resurrection Season 1 Episode 1 "Texas Two-Step" build, this 1962 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck features magic custom base/clear House of Kolor paint sprayed by Shorty along with Joe Martin's signature design & execution. The truck was completely disassembled and taken down to a naked frame where it was twisted, turned, flipped, and polished out to the show stopper you see here. The cab was media-blasted and custom metal & paint work has been done front to back while retaining the body lines we all love. Power comes from a crate 350 4bbl V8 paired with a fresh TH350 3-speed automatic trans. The interior showcases a beautifully crafted custom seat while the dash is finished in House of Kolor candy paint. LMC Truck provided many of the components of this extensive Martin Bros Customs build. This truck really has a great stance and curb appeal to it. In addition to its dynamite good looks, the truck drives out straight and runs good.
Shag & Amanda found this Texas truck for Joe Martin & team to transform into Joe's vision for a sweet C10. This solid old truck needed the works, but turned out KILLER. These trucks hold a special place in Joe's heart and mine as well. We are Texans, what can I say.
Originally a step-side, Joe & team opted for a shortbox fleetside bed for a much cleaner finished look.
The inner bed is as beautifully crafted as the exterior. The House of Kolor paint really pops while the woodwork and metal strips finish out the clean look. There is an access panel for air ride service.
The bench and door panels match in a very tasteful pattern. The dash retains the factory gauge cluster with discreet & easy to use front & rear air ride adjustment switches hidden in the ash tray. A classic 3-spoke woodgrain wheel is paired with the tilt steering column.
Under the hood is a 350 4bbl. GM crate V8 paired with a fresh TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. The firewall is beautifully done as are the inner fenderwells, very well crafted. I want to mention we have an extensive build album along with televised footage of the build. You can purchase this episode for $2.99 on Amazon or the entire first season of Iron Resurrection for $9.99
The chassis was disassembled and gone through as you can see. The brake system was rebuilt and custom air ride installed. The independent front end helps the truck drive out straight and handle well. The 15-inch custom wheels wear wide whitewall radials (205/75R15s) all around.
The truck loves to be seen and really draws a crowd. This truck will do well at larger regional shows as well as Cars & Coffee or your local Sonic Drive-In.
