Impeccably finished is correct and rarely seen Glen Green Metallic, this fabulous Stingray is the product of an excellent restoration. Every effort was put forth to maintain a high level of originality with this rare and desired Corvette. The body was stripped and professionally refinished in factory-correct, and the original color for this car. Superb panel fit and gaps, and masterful paintwork are hallmarks of this car and fully display the high level of craftsmanship that this particular car was subject to. Likewise, all the exterior brightwork and chrome were either refinished or replaced. The 327ci/375hp Fuel-Injected V8 under the hood was professionally rebuilt and is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Power steering and disc brakes keep everything in line. The interior shows in phenomenal condition with reupholstered seats and matching carpeting, center console, and original T-Handle shifter. It also showcases a push-button AM/FM radio, and authentic teakwood-rim steering wheel.
The 1965 Corvette Stingray was the last year for fuel injection until 1982 when the L83 crossfire fuel injection was introduced. The hood also has the funnel-shaped "power blister" air scoop. The vertical louvers on the side of the car are now functional and the blacked out grille has horizontal bars. The depressions on the standard hood were removed. The rocker panels were again restyled as well. New knock-off wheels were finally available from the factory, they were painted dark gray in between the fins. A telescoping steering wheel and new gauges influenced by aircraft design were added as well. Disc brakes were standard for the '65 Vette. The seats were redesigned with larger and more supportive cushions. The antenna is now powered and is standard.
This impeccable vintage 'Vette will not stay on our lot long, as Corvettes such as this pristine example are in very high demand.
