TRUCK
This is a 1969 CST custom sport pro street chevy truckIt has been reworked from the front to the rear including all brand new American Auto Wire wiring from the head to the tail lights, 90%brand new brakes from the pedal to thee wheels with just a steel line left to replace if you want to. The brakes have been changed from 4 wheel drum to 4 wheel disc and new booster and master cylinder to boot. Truck originally came with Air conditioning but it has been taken out but the controls are still left and have been rebuilt for air conditioning if you choose to add it later. Fuel lines have all been replaced with braided steel lines from the tank to the carb and fuel pump is new as well.
ENGINE
The truck has a stock 350 in it that has only been dressed up to look nice with new distributor, wires, and sheet metal valve covers and ceramic coated headers with new 1 3/4 exhaust and mufflers cut off near the rear end. The truck is a nice saturday driver and not a RACE or SHOW truck, but gets lots of looks and thumbs up. It does have a small oil drip seemingly from the pan but its minor at best.
TRANS
Has a TH400 that shifts very well and does not slip but does have a pesky leak I have not been able to trace down. I have replaced the tail shaft seal put 3 pan gaskets on it, replaced the pan with a new on, and the speedo orings and seals and still has a drip. I do have a filler tube seal that goes with the truck if it sells.
WIRING
I replaced every square inch of wire in this truck with "AMERICAN AUTO WIRE" Wiring harness from the headlights to the tail lights and is a peace of mind now with all new wire. Tail lights are LED and all the lenses are brand new and has 3 bar headlights to boot.
REAREND
Has a narrowed 9 inch ford with all aluminum bolt through chunk with all new parts and a nascar style locker with clutches that click when the truck turns but its not a worry its what they sound like. The frame has been C-notched for travel andrides very well.
SUSPENSION
The front and rear suspension has been all reworked with new springs, spindles, hubs, shocks, trailing arm and shock lowering brackets with the before advertised C-notch for travel. Truck originally came with leaf springs but it has all been changed to coil springs with like new trailing arms and brand new bushings.
BRAKES
All brand new brakes with new booster, master cylinder, steel braided lines, new calipers, rotors, hubs, all except the 1 line down the frame which is still steel. Stops on a dime now as the original truck had 4 wheel drum with leaf springs.
INTERIOR
The interior has been all redone with new dash bezel and Auto meter gauges and auto meter Tach silver face gauges, speedo and fuel all work and lights in the dash all work. The floor has been painted with POR15 rust proofing and has all new carpet, dash pad, firewall cover, and door panels redone in black with black headliner as well. The door seals and window felts are all brand new and there are 2 brand new door handle assemblies in the glove box I have not replaced yet and the seat cover is brand new with no tears or rips in the vinyl. The glove box interior is brand new but the face of it has fish eye in the paint and will need to be redone or wait till truck has a paint job. All brand new bright work inside including all the vents and has an aluminum steering wheel with bowtie in the center, and new dome light and floor board lights that light the carpet in each foot area. Has new arm rests on the door and put new speakers in the doors as well with an after market vintage looking radio that is digital when turned on with new dash knobs and the cigarette lighter works as well!
EXTERIOR
Ok So first off I DID NOT paint this truck this is the color scheme it was when I bought the truck and concentrated on the bones of it before the paint. Its not ideal colors but it can be painted to whatever you like and it was good enough for me for a saturday roller. Secondly this truck IS NOT a show truck or a race truck and is not advertised as such, only a daily driver with a good start for either if you should choose to go either way. It is a very solid nearly rust free truck with the only rust where the heater core leaked and got some of the passenger side rocker but not enough to replace the rocker. The rust on the face of the rocker has already been cut out for replacement and is roughly the size of half a dollar on the foot facing part of the rocker inside the door( look in the picture). The truck needs a paint job but it is still ok for what it is, I will try to list the issues the best I can. The glove box listed from above is the worst part in the interior, the exterior has various nicks and dings and where they originally had a camper on the bed there are some holes that would need patching and some areas that have been touched up. The tailgate is decent with the decorative plate needing replacement if you choose but still looks good. All the trim is there and in really decent shape for a 47 year old truck, the rear bumper is brand new and the front grill is aftermarket with a few scratches but shows well. Front bumper is nice but will need to be replaced one day and the hood is straight. Front window has a crack but is ok for a daily driver as well, the side, ven, and back windows are all good with no cracks.
WHEELS AND TIRES
WELD wheels all the way around with BF Goodrich on the front and Sportsmans on the back and ALL tread is new new and very good. FRonts are 15x8 and the rear are 15x14 if I recall correctly(its been awhile forgive me) and rear tires are 29x15x5 and it comes with a 10 inch wide spare in the bed with brand new tire on it as well but it is a black steel wheel not a WELD.
Ok folks to the best of my ability I have tried to explain the goods and the bads. This truck was a dream build for me but life and priorities have changed and I am ready to part with it. All in all this is a very nice well built truck so NO tire kickers and don't bid on it if you have less than 100 on your ebay I am not in for a ride. SERIOUS bidders only. I reserve the right to end this auction short if the truck sells before hand. I will not ship the truck or set it up, if you want it shipped I will be more than happy to help get it on the way but will not do the shipping part!
