Description:

1977 Chevrolet Corvette

THIS LISTING IS TO SELL MY 1977 CORVETTE. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR 30yrs. AND I LOVE IT. I LIVE ON A FARM NOW, AND THIS ISN'TTHE RIGHT PLACE FOR IT. SO I AM SAYING GOODBYE TO THIS OLD FRIEND. PRIOR TO PURCHASING THIS CAR,MY MACHANIC, AND I LOOKED FOR A NICE OLDER CORVETTE FOR ME FOR 2yrs. WE DESIDED ON THIS ONE BECAUSE IT HADNEVER BEEN HIT, AND RAN WELL. IT HAS A 350 MOTOR, AND A 4 SPEED TRANSMISSON. IPURCHASED THE CAR IN PA. ABOUT 30yrs. AGO FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER, AN OLDER GENTLEMAN WHO WAS ORDERING A NEW ONE AND HIS WIFE TOLD HIM THIS ONE HAD TO GO. IT HAD 62000 MILES ON IT. ABOUT 10yrs. LATER IMOVED TO TN. 3yrs. AGO I DROVE THE CAR BACK FROM TN.TO PA. AND PARKED IT. I HAVE NOT STARTED IT IN 3yrs. IT MADE THE TRIP BACK WELL EXCEPT IT WAS LEEKING POWER STEERING FLUID. A FRIEND OF MINE WAS LOOKING AT IT A FEW MONTHS AGO AND TOLD ME IT NEEDED A NEW MASTER CYLINDER FROM SITTING.I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY FOR IT AND WAS GOING TO START IT, AND TAKE IT TO THE HARLEY DEALER WHERE THEY SELLCLASSICS CARS AND SELL IT,BUTMY FRIENDTOLD ME I SHOULDN'T START IT. SO I HAVEN'T.THE MOTOR, TRANSMISSION, AND REAR WERE NEVER A PROBLEM. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN BEAT.YEARS AGO I WOULD DRIVE IT FAST (has lots of power) BUT I NEVER SLAMED THE GEARS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. AND IDIDN'T LET OTHER PEOPLE DRIVE IT. I HAD IT REPAINTED ABOUT 6yrs. AGOAND PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR ITAND THEY DID A ROTTON JOB. IT WILL NEED PAINT. THE OLD PAINT LOOKED BETTER. I ALSO PAID THESE SAME CORVETTE PEOPLE TO FIX A LOT OF LITTLE STUFF THAT I GOT CHARGED FOR AND STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS. THEY WOULD BE THE HEAD LIGHT DOORS, THE PASSANGER DOOR LOCK IS SPRUNG I THINK( it won't open), THE ELECTRIC WINDOWS GO UP AND DOWN REAL SLOW, AND SOMETHING WITH THE ALARM I THINK. THE DRIVER SEAT IS STUCK, AND WON'T SLIDE FORWARD. I HAVE NOT SLAMED THE HOOD CLOSE AFTER I OPENED IT AND TOOK THESE PICTURES BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID THE CABLE MIGHT SNAP ALTHOUGH I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT. THE AIR CONDITIONER DID WORK BUT I NEVER USED IT MUCH AS IT BOGGED THE MOTOR DOWN. AND I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT ELSE MIGHT BE WRONG WITH IT. THE LITTLE CAPS ON THE WHEELS DON'T MATCH AS I WAS ALWAYS LOOSING ONE HERE AND THERE OVER THE YEARS. NEEDS NEW TIRES NOW. THE T-TOPS NEVER LEAKED. IT HAS LEATHER INTERIOR. THE DRIVER SEAT WILL NEED TO BE REDONE, AND ON EACH OF THE ARM REST AREAS THERE IS A TARE ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER ON EACH ONE AND ALSO A TARE AROUND THE SCREW ON THE DOOR. I BELIEVE THE REST OF THE INTERIOR IS OK. I AM SELLING MY CAR AS IS. IT DOES NEED SOME WORK. I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN A GARAGE, OR UNDER A CARPORT UNTIL I CAME BACK TO PA. SO NOW IT IS COVERED WITH A CORVETTE COVER. THE COVER IS NOT FOR A 1977 CORVETTE, BUT IT COVERS THE WHOLE CAR.I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO TELL YOU. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A GOOD CAR. IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW YOU CAN CALL ME. 731-434-8028 OR IF YOU WANT, YOU MAY COME AND LOOK AT IT. IT IS NEAR STATE COLLEGE PA. I HAVE THE OWNERS MANUAL (it is inpieces), AND I STILL HAVE THE LITTLE KEY CHIP THINGS THE GUY GAVE ME WHEN I PURCHASEDTHE CARFROM HIM. I THINK HE SAID YOU HAVE TO HAVE THEM TO HAVE NEW KEYS MADE.
