1986 Chevrolet El Camino
This car left Choo Choo Customs in Chattanooga, TN in July 1986. My Dad bought this October 1989 with 35,115 miles on the odometer. It took my Dad another 26 years to put the next 46,000 miles on it. Most of those miles were to car shows, parades representing the local American Legion or VFW, and the occasional sunny Sunday afternoon cruise because cars need to be driven. We lost Dad and all his children would love to keep his pride and joy "just because." But, none of us have a place to keep it as it is not practical for any of us. (It currently is residing in my cars garage parking spot.) I included one photo of a bunch of the trophies he collected with this car but these are not all of them. We have one large box with just plaques and family members took some home for keepsakes. This car has been well cared for and loved. Please note: My Dad put the chrome air cleaner and chrome head covers on there but we have the original ones for those that prefer stock. One extra side note: I have only driven this a few times since bringing it home, but I had forgotten what a sweet sound that comes out of those dual pipes when those horses roar.
