This is a correct coded 138 model 1966 Chevelle Super Sport.

I purchased this car from the original owner in 2006 and I have photocopies of the original purchase documentation from the original owner of the car. I have owned the car for the past 10 years.

Originally this car was a 396/325 optioned Super Sport. It is now a Non-numbers matching car. Car was partially restored (mechanically and interior) during my ownership as a driver, not a show car.

Car has been driven less than 3000 miles since purchase. I’ve driven the car on a regular basis (Sat/Sun afternoon cruises) between May and Oct and it has never been driven or parked in bad weather. The car has always been garaged with a cover and prepped each fall for winter storage.

The car currently has a GM 396 CID (CE) Crate engine installed with mild ¾ cam, L-78 375Hp cylinder heads, L-78 factory aluminum intake manifold, and headers with dual exhaust system. The transmission is a rebuilt Muncie M21 Close Ratio four -speed Transmission. Both the Engine and Transmission were installed less than 20K miles ago (by the original owner prior to my purchase). The car also has a factory 12 bolt3.31 ratio Posi-traction rear end.

Although presentable, the paint is beginning to show its age and there are some flaws. This car was originally Meridian Maroon and is currently Marina Blue. The paint is approximately 20 years old, and there are some chips and scratches in the paint from driving the car.

Prior to my purchase of the car, a replacement floor was installed for the entire interior floor section (fire wall to rear seat/ door to door). The center section of the trunk floor has also had a metal patch installed. As far as I know (and see) there is no visible major rust damage remaining on the chassis of the car.

Upgrades performed by me include:

Engine Compartment:

Holley 800cfm Carburetor, Upgraded HEI distributor with MSD coil and rev limiter, hi-performance ignition wires, Competition Cams High Lift Rocker Arm Assemblies, Holley high volume fuel pump, Power Master hi torque starter, high flow cooling fan, 100 Amp alternator, chrome air cleaner, chrome valve covers, and factory correct power steering.

Suspension:

Power front disc brakes, stainless steel brake lines, completely rebuilt front end suspension with new control arms and upgraded suspension (using Hotchkiss suspension kit (front and back)), new front and rear Bilstein shocks, new 1967 15 inch SS rally wheels, BF Goodrich Radial255/60R15 rear tires, 225/60R15 fronts, and factory jack with spare.

Exterior:

Most exterior chrome (including bumpers) and stainless trim has been replaced or refurbished. New directional lamps and assemblies as well as taillight lens and assemblies. New tinted Windshield and new tinted rear window glass.

Interior:

Restored with factory black vinyl bucket seats with original factory safety belts, factory center console with Hurst Shifter and new working clock, 1967 Super Sport steering wheel, factory dash, Harrison AM/FM cassette with four speaker stereo system, and full set of Autometer gauges (Vacuum, Fuel Pressure, Voltage, Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, and Tachometer). New trunk liner and spare tire cover.
