1982 Chevrolet El Camino Super SportBeautiful, straight body, never wrecked. I've owned since 1997; always garaged. Previous owner had done lots of work: repainted with original GM white (5338A) acrylic enamel/new windshield/new drag-link/tie rods/stabilizer arm/ball joints/ A-frame bushings/new springs front & rear/new GM door & window rubber.Interior is perfect-no tears; carpet is in great shape; glass is all good; I have many extra parts that I will include-the original AC compressor; original cruise control unit/ spare tire and jack still there; repair manuals
I added: New "Enforcer TFS 355/385 engine built by American Speed Ent., Moline, IL-Dyno sheet shows peak 391HP@5300RPM/ 650 Holley carb/ Edelbrock Performer manifold/ Carter fuel pump/ Crane Cam/ Trick-Flow Alum. heads/ New Acel HEI/ Mallory Ignition box/ Mallory plug wires/ many aluminum dress items/ Headman Headers/ Flowmaster mufflers/ TH350 rebuilt trans. with new B & M 2400 converter.
Car also has custom heavy duty 'Denny Driveshaft'; B&M deep trans pan; new shocks; new headliner; 3:70 posi rear end; new master cylinder; B&M shifter; Air-lift for rear coils; new gas gauge and sending unit; Under body of car completely painted using Eastwood products.
Pictures show the minor flaws: original owner had painted over the chrome trim with black paint which is chipping is some areas/ small amt. of rust along the pass. side window trim-should be easy lead-fill fix/ lower door lip showing some surface rust-not yet serious/ paint has a few chips, but generally good shape and good shine. Floor pans and underbody is solid. This is a very well kept original.
THIS ENGINE HAS LESS THAN 7000 MILES ON IT-(I KNOW, HARD TO BELIEVE) I LIKE PUTTING IT TOGETHER, BUT SIMPLY NEVER DROVE IT MUCH EXCEPT FOR THE SHORT 'AROUND TOWN' TRIPS. WIFE & I HAVE RETIRED, AND PURCHASED CORVETTE FOR LONGER TRIPS, AND DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO DO MORE WITH THIS CAR.
