Description:

1968 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500

1968 Chevrolet C20, 3/4T, long box, 2wd pickup in largely original condition. Original 327 motor with the original TH400 automatic transmission and factory AC. Coil spring rear suspension with overload leaf springs and a 10 bolt rear end. 7500 GVW stamped on door jamb VIN tag. Custom Camper trim.
Largely original paint, although faded, in saddle/off white (04555AD). Some older bodywork done on the right fender. Balance of sheet metal is reasonably straight and rust free. Tailgate is in very good condition. Outer rockers will need to be replaced, but undercarriage, cab mounts and cab floor appear in decent condition. The original bed floor is usable, but should be replaced. Lower molding trim holes, bed tie downs, mirror holes in both doors and the cutouts for the saddle gas tanks appear to be the only sheet metal flaws outside of misc. dings and dents. The doors do not have speaker cutouts in them.
The bench seat appears to have the remains of the original GM seat covering on it. The original GM AM radio is in the uncut dash. There is no headliner and no outside rear cab light. The rear slider glass is not factory. The windshield is cracked. The AC compressor appears to be an original Frigidaire unit. It spins freely, but the AC system is not functioning.
The engine block number is 3914678 and the passenger side front block land ID is V?07?M? plus 5714. My research shows that this is a 1968 327 ci, 250 hp motor without AIR, with a turbo hydramatic transmission, two bolt mains, and a large journal crank. You should do your own research. The truck starts, idles and runs with little engine smoke, but should be trailered or shipped due to iffy engine bay wiring.
A long term eastern Washington and Idaho truck. An unusually optioned truck ready for restoration or could be a daily driver with very little work. Clear title in my name. Transportation is the responsibility of the purchaser, but we will assist in any reasonable manner. If you have any questions, please ask.
