1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS B4C Special Police Package

This is the car that's only supposed to exist in whispers and myths. A 1992 Chevrolet Camaro with the B4C police package. So while this coupe looks like an RS, it is in fact an extra potent car that goes beyond the Z/28 to be quick enough to catch just about any speeder on the road in its day. This is a sleek, stealth machine was never supposed to be available to you. Only those who knew how to manipulate Chevy's system could get the Camaro police package car as a civilian. This really upped the game for GM to make it the ultimate and rare 3rd generation Camaro. But you can't really tell that from the first impression. Instead, this just looks like a fantastically cared for coupe with a shimmering finish on its original shade of Ruby Red Metallic (and we believe the original factory paint). In fact, it's stealth nature meant these were RS packaged even though you'd position it above a Z/28 in the hierarchy. So you get a sleek hood and a smaller rear spoiler, which some will argue is a more sophisticated appearance. Of course, even the Rally Sport Camaros did have a nice streak of aggression with the bodykit and 16-inch factory alloy wheels. That's what truly makes this car great today. It was a sleeper when it snuck out of the factory, and all of that has been so well preserved as it matures into an interesting classic.Inside is a gray and black interior has also been preserved in near perfect condition, and it is just as factory-correct as the exterior, so it continues the stealthy image. Showing less than 35K miles on this coupe means there has been very little seat time over the years. So when you slip behind the factory wheel (with airbag), you'll feel the high-backed bucket seats giving modern support. This one came loaded right from the factory, including power windows, power locks, tilt steering, cruise control, AM/FM/cassette stereo, and air conditioning. All of these items are still in working order today on this well-preserved coupe. While all of these are great features, the one you'll enjoy showing off the most is the 140 MPH speedometer.Under the hood is the original 350 cubic-inch fuel-injected V8. This is the famous B2L package that installed a version the Corvette's V8 within the Camaro's engine bay. It was rated at 245 hp and 345 lb-ft in '92, but that's not the whole story. This police package was equipped with the elusive 1LE option that was supposed to only be available to SCCA racers. It included lighter elements like an aluminum driveshaft and fog light delete, and in its place were upgrades to the suspension and the addition of four-wheel disc brakes. Now the B4C police package added even more goodies, such as oversized front and rear sway bars as well as larger brake discs. Sound difficult to maneuver this build? Yes it was. That's why less than 600 cars were believed to be produced this way in 1992, and the greater majority went to police departments! But with power steering, a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and modern BF Goodrich gForce tires, this very collectible car is also begging to be driven.Complete with plenty of documentation, including the original window sticker, bill of sale, dealer invoice, owner's manual, and B4C literature, you can already see how much of an interesting classic you are viewing. And now that you see it's affordable price, you know you have to be quick to grab this deal.
