1965 Chevrolet Corvette
An original California and Arizona car that had been stored for over 20 years. Body off restoration with every nut and bolt replaced. All chrome either replaced or refinished. The beautiful Marina Blue paint shows fantastic. There may be a few minor road chips in the paint but they will be difficult to find. The interior is white leather seating and door panels provided by Al Knoch. The white convertible top is also from Al Knoch. The recently installed dash panel is from Dakota Digital with the GPS speedometer having the ability to give ET's and speeds for 1/8, 1/4 etc. Also a Vintage Air air conditioning system has recently been installed. A "great system" ! Extensive suspension modifications including square tube upper and lower control arms, front and rear over sized sway bars, and off-set trailing arms. Included are fully adjustable Carrera shocks and a composite mono-leaf rear spring. Polyurethane bushings, rear spindles and bearings are new. Brake lines are stainless steel and the entire car has been rewired (OEM harness. All suspension parts were provided by Vette Brakes. This car handles great ! Boyd Coddington 17" wheels with new Mickey Thompson 245/45-17 street radials (not yet mounted). The incredible power and torque comes from a GM ZZ 502ci crate motor with a Crane roller valve train.and a FAST fully sequential fuel injection system with a Hogan custom intake manifold. An MSD ignition system and Hooker Super Comp Headers are included. A March polished aluminum serpentine belt accessory drive compliment the power plant. Cooling comes from a BE-Cool Aluminum radiator with a thermostatically controlled Spaal electric fan. Even on +90 deg days here in Florida she will never go over 195 deg. A great car to drive ! The transmission a 4L85E, which is new (not rebuilt) from GM Performance, has less then 300 miles on it. The rear crossmember has been made removable so the transmission can be removed without removing the engine. This transmission is completely programmable. Shift points as well as hard shifting can be adjusted with a laptop. The rear gear is a 3.36 ratio GM Posi. The drive line gearing is a perfect combination for the 650+HP and unbelievable torque the engine produces. Incredible acceleration from a stoplight and comfortable highway speeds (80 MPH @ 3000 RPM) make this beauty an absolute pleasure to drive. Drive it or show it, she gets lots of attention and compliments. She can be a pussycat or a beast but either way it is a "blast" to drive.
