The first generation Chevrolet Camaro started to show up in dealerships in the Autumn of 1966 as a model year 1967. This is a chance to own a piece of automotive history. Own the car that lead a revolution in the industry and started a tradition that still carries one of the most iconic marquees 50 years later. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Camaro by owning one of the first. This example is not only one of the first, it is one of the best. An original, authentic RS/SS 1967 Camaro. Pedigreed first generation cars like this are some of the most coveted investments in the marketplace.

This classic has been painstakingly cared for and maintained. With under 40,000 miles, this pampered collectible remains as close to the original as we have seen. With the exception of a re-paint this survivor this car remains almost completely authentic. A car can be restored many times, but it is only original once. You can verify from the pictures the originality of the components and you can validate the miles from the title presented by its previous owner.

The RS was an appearance package that included hidden headlights, revised taillights with back-up lights under the rear bumper, RS badging and exterior rocker trim. This RS is adorned with it all. If you wanted to be the envy of all Camaro owners you could combine the SS package as well. The SS package came with a 350 cu inch (5.7 L) engine, air inlets on the hood, SS striping and SS badging on the grille, front fenders, gas cap and horn button. Doesn’t get any better than this.

This survivor runs and drives exactly as you would hope. You can drive 50 miles to the show, drive onto to the field, win for originality and drive home with your trophy. Everything works, the hidden headlights, the air conditioning blows cold, the tires hug the road and the 350 still throws you back in the seat. All expectations will be exceeded. A collector car that you can enjoy driving every day and still build equity in your investment.

To add to its collector value, this Camaro comes with the original invoice, the protect-o-plate, the original warranty and maintenance book and the owner’s manual.

Originally painted Royal Plum with Black Trim this car came with the following equipment:

  • SS350 hp Engine
  • Power Steering
  • EZ Glass
  • Wheel covers deluxe belts
  • Console
  • Air Conditioning
  • Rally Sport Package
  • Powerglide
  • Deluxe interior
  • Interior decor package
  • Push button radio
  • 12 Bolt rear

This car would be almost impossible to replace. A real RS/SS, with low miles, almost completely authentic collectible that runs and drives like new. A great investment, a great car, that offers an opportunity to own a coveted piece of history.

About Factory Correct Cars offered by BlueChip Motorcars

BlueChip Motorcars periodically offers classic cars that may be listed as Factory Correct, or Numbers Matching. Because there are many opinions about the term(s) used to describe these types of listings, allow us to explain how BlueChip Motorcars comes to that assessment.

As you may know, depending on the source, the term “matching numbers, or factory correct,” may mean many things to many people. Purists might define it as a car with every possible window crank, dash knob or even every nut and bolt is original to the car from the time it left the production line. Although some classic cars do exist in that rare condition, most do not.

The majority of classic cars on the market were at some point in their ownership, restored or repaired with NOS parts (new old stock) or licensed reproduction parts. Whenever the information is available to us about the use of these parts, BlueChip Motorcars will gladly pass it along to the potential buyer.

BlueChip Motorcars uses the term Factory Correct or Numbers Matching only to distinguish a vehicle where the engine casting code corresponds with the VIN and Cowl Tag code. If these codes tell the same story about the car in question, BlueChip Motorcars then considers it to be a Factory Correct or Numbers Matching vehicle. However, unless otherwise stated, the transmission, rear end, and transmission may or may not be original to the car.

BlueChip Motorcars welcomes all potential buyers to verify all the information with a qualified expert. We would be happy to email you all the numbers that are obtainable on any vehicle where the term Factory Correct or Matching Numbers is used.
