1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 Camaro designed and built by owner. Over 700 labor hours of body and paint work went into this Camaro. After the intial bodywork the car was hand blocked and all the body lines were sharpen to give it a unique look. Sikkens pure black base coat/clear coat was used a total of 5 coats of clear. Then the car was wet sanded and polished to a superior finish. Over 200 hundred hours went into this process alone. In the build of this car 70% of the sheet metal is new. The rear quarters were widened 1½ inches and the rear section was lowered 3 ½ inches. The rear roll pan was extended down 2 ½ inches a new rear bumper was lowered 5/8 inch and a hand molded rain gutter was added. An SS hood was installed then the cowl was molded to match the hood scoop then stretched to the windshield. All of this gives the Camaro a “One of a Kind” design. “Eleanor” Mustang side pipes were modified and mounted to fit. Custom made front spoiler with new bumper Billet grill and Halogen headlights with H4 bulbs. New 6 piece shaded glass kit was installed and tinted. Marquez tail lamps and modern SS emblems finished off the trim. Entire new brake system disc front and Ford 9 inch Posi-rear with drum brakes. Foose Legend Chrome Wheels 17x8 Front with 18x8 Rear on Goodrich G-Force KDW II tires. The car was lowered 3 ½ inches in the front with coil over adjustable shocks and 4 inch blocks in the rear to give the car attitude. This car has a brand new 350 engine with over 400 HP includes Demon carburetor Edelbrock air gap intake Headman Headers Billet Specialties V-Trac Pulley system with A/C and P/S MSD distributor and ignition 8mm Taylor made plug wires roller rockers and performance cam Rebuilt Munice M20 4 speed transmission with Hurst shifter. New clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing. Fat Mat sound deadening/thermal resistant insulation was applied. MSD box and coil were mounted under the dash. Southern Rods Maxi Cooler II electric AC/Heat and Defrost was installed and controls were mounted behind glove box door. American Autowire factory fit harness was installed and all unnecessary wires were stripped for a clean look. New black standard Camaro interior kit was put in and a rear seat shelf was custom made that features a LED third brake light. This Camaro was being built for the intention to compete for top awards at car shows. I’m confident this Camaro will make a lasting impression on people and has the potential to win many awards. Car needs minor details to be 100%finished.
