1963 CHEVROLET CORVETTE 327/340 SPLIT-WINDOW COUPE--Saddle Tan with Tan interior and Brown carpeting, 4-speed manual transmission, 327ci OHV V8 Engine, Documented from new. VIN: 308337S118592This Split Window was delivered new to Hugh White Chevrolet in Columbus, Ohio. It was factory-equipped with an M20 four-speed gearbox and the desirable solid-lifter L76 V-8, the second-most-powerful engine available in 1963. It was generously optioned.Factory options included: Sintered metallic brakes, Power windows, Posi-Traction rear axle, Whitewall tires, AM/FM radio and Leather upholstery. 1963 model was the first year that leather seats were offered on the Corvette, only approximately 5% of the year’s cars were so optioned.This Split Window was kept in its first ownership for 22 years. It was subsequently sold to a marque enthusiast and presented at Corvette events, earning a prestigious NCRS Top Flight Award and MCACN Heritage Award.This unrestored Split Window retains original finishes and displays factory-inspection markings.
