This truck was originally sold by Los Angeles Chevrolet Dealership on Olympic Blvd
to the Los Angeles County Roads Dept in March of 1955
included is the original 1955 California Operators Permit issued to LA Co Roads Dept
and set of Vintage California Tax Exempt License Plates
In 1960 this vehicle was sold at Auction to Ovanes Parazian who owned a local welding shop and operated the truck till I bought it from him in 2002
included are 50+ years of California Registration cards
40,000 mi. on truck since 2004 when the motor was rebuilt along with the front and rear suspension and a new rear axle installed
All metal panels appear original except the tail gate which looks to have been replaced with a vintage correct one at some point and the left rear fender that was changed to accept the side mounting spare tire also vintage correct
I have the original yellow left rear fender-- which is included in the sale
panels are all solid with a few minor dings and scratches
The bed has the original wood in it ---though it is pretty badly dry rotted and covered with a plywood sheet
Drivers side window is cracked and the tinted windshield has some wiper scratches
This truck has been been mildly Hot Rodded and gets down the road very nicely as my daily driver of many years
Heater defroster works like gangbusters ---all fresh air vents work smoothly
All the gauges work, hough the accuracy of the speedo is questionable
Included is a box of misc spare parts---some original equipment and some after market
A thick file of receipts for parts and service over the last 15 years
Mileage is listed as 88,000+ but the odometer only goes to 99,999 so no telling how many actual miles this truck has gone in 60+ years
It's time to pass this well patina'd truck on to someone else to have fun with
