1978 Chevrolet El CaminoElki has strong 383 Vortec engine with Edelbrock Air gap manifold. After market gauges and Mini tach. No smoke, o knocks. No leaks. Starts right every time. Has 750 Demon Carb. MSD distributor. Turbo 400 tranny with mild shift kit and Hurst shift linkage.Front disk brakes. 9in. Ford rear with eaton posi, 1 spline axles and 3:70 gears. Front end in good condition. 87 Monte Carlo SS front end gives it sleek look with functional cowl hood. K&N Air cleaner.Drives strong and straight. I have never had it on the track. Just a clean attention getting street machine with some punch to it. "Runs great on pump gas. Has Hedman headers with turbo mufflers and pipes all the way to the rear with chrome tips. No leaks in exhaust. Very good looking interior with spare tire & cover behind seat. Also, as small rust spot started on driver side rear front of tire. Have already cleaned & sanded and sprayed rust inhibitor on spot. Has not been warm enough to paint, pot is only 3 inches. No major body work required on this truck. Also, nstalled new control arm bushings 2 years. Tagged and inspected.

Engine and trannny cost $5500 2 years ago. I probably have around 15,000 miles on rebuild. The carb. cost $795...
