Description:

1966 Chevrolet Impala

Hard work is done. This is a very nice 50 year old car.
Original engine and trans. Rebuilt 283 and updated. Rebuilt powerglide trans. Factory air. The car looks and runs great. Dependable driver. Interior is decent but not perfect. Good glass. Overall the car is an 8 out of 10 I feel. Original top, epaint of original chateau slate. Color combo silver and black is stunning.
Engine rebuild is bored 40 over, ilv-o-lite pistons, ild cam. Heads rebuilt, b carb, pdated intake, eaders, sd ignition (fires right up every time), luminum radiator (zero over heating issues), etailed painting engine bay and under car and driveline rebuilt.
Trans rebuild done by a private shop. Said it was in "Cherry" condition.
Engine and trans are believed to be original. Date code for block is 3849852 (April 1966), eads code is 3884520 (June 1966).
I have another dash bezel that is not cut for after market radio, he one in it works. I have another set of window trim, any 1966 original advertising pieces/pictures some framed and an owners manual. I also have the original radiator and straps. It did not leak when I took it out but I wanted to be certain a fresh rebuild had plenty of cooling.
Some nicks in the original moldings but nothing major. Bumpers could use a re-chrome but they look good. The car's re-spray paint job is decent and looks good but has one paint run and chip. The vinyl top is in great shape. The headliner has a couple of small holes but it hasn't bothered me any. Dash has one crack. If I were to do anything else to the car it would be to replace the rubber along the roll up windows. All other rubber on doors and trunk is solid. Very good tires. Reliable running car just drive it if you want and do nothing.
Under the car is very clean and has solid floor pans. The body it straight but has one area, mall area, f filler on left rear panel next to bumper. Looks like a very minor fender bender at one point.
The car is listed locally for sale and subject to be sold before auction ends. Iwill be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
