1960 Chevrolet Impala was slightly redesigned with jet smooth lines, vident with the aircraft inspired side trim. Chevrolet changed much of the bodylines from the '59's. The new look for 1960 suited the glamorous top of the line Impala, s Chevrolet reshaped and separated the bat wing tail fins, nd added 3 round tailamps to the rear. Additional features included a short molding strip extending back from the headlights, win pairs of bar molding above and below the fender strip, he quarter panel missile ornaments had 2 moldings streaking rearward, nd the area between them was filled with a contrasting colored insert and Impala script. This beauty was born and raised in the classic car friendly state of California and transported to Florida only a few years ago. It enjoyed the black tag status in California for decades. This means the car had the original '59 or '60 year tag on the car sine new as the tags remained on the cars and transferred from owner to owner even after the tag design was changed to different colors. This signified it's entire life was spent in the state of California. This car is a treat to be around and to drive. The car has an amazing straight and rock solid body. No rust! It's both classy and sharp looking with the white over blue color combination. Not many seen with these colors and the overall condition is excellent. Since it has been in Florida, he last owner added new chrome wheels and tires to update the look and also added air conditioning in the last year. All new A/C components with new and very cold R134 refrigerant. The 283 engine runs great with plenty of power and is connected to a smooth shifting automatic transmission.
