1941 Chevrolet Other Pickups

If you spend anytime reading truck history you will soon learn that a common design theme which is repeated over and over again is that of "massiveness." This word was used to describe the front appearance of the new 1941 Chevrolet Trucks. Especially on light-duty trucks designers continually worked to get just the right look of massiveness and ruggedness in the truck's grille, front bumper and front fenders. It was John Gunnell who coined the term "Wurlitzer" for these trucks, which is a wonderfully descriptive term. We must admit that it is hard to miss the art deco influence, no question this look has now regained popularity to the point of manufacturers duplicating the design cues used during this era. We have to tip our hats to the Chevrolet designers for their work, which has stood the test of time. This truck has been modified with an engine upgrade and tastefully selected interior upgrades. Also the wheels are classic Crager SS's. The truck looks great and runs and drives very well. The paint has some patina as does the front bumper. But it is very straight and solid. It has just the right amount of wear to make it look like its supposed to...like a very cool old antique truck. If that's what you like then you'll love this one.
