1959 Cadillac Coupe American IconTrue Barn Find last on Road 1986
I bought this Classic 1959 Cadillac American icon right from the barn where it was stored and last on the road in 1986. The miles are 76K and by all account's are real. I have replaced the following, ew carbureto, ew Water Pump,New Wheel Cylinders, ew brake hoses, ew Shoes, ew Master, ew Windshield, ew rear Window both with new gaskets. I have the 390 running on an external gas tank. This car runs absolutley perfect without even a stumble or skip. Car shifts into all gears. I have only driven this around the block and it runs and rides perfect. Currenetly I'm using the emergency brake as I'm trying to track down an issue in the master (new) I have a perfect set of rear bumper ends that come with the car. Also included with the car are a new set of replacement rockers. The interior is all original without many defects. The carpet is bad and the headliner is missing. The floors are weak income areas and would need to be patched for a driver. Looks to be one prior repaint in its original color. I do not have the keys to the doors and the trunk cylinder is missing. Trunk has all its original carpet and cardboard panels all in great shape. Original jack etc all in original places. Original Horn Ring Not Broken!!!!!The 59 will need some additional work to be ready for the road such as radiator is leaking, Leaky freeze plug on the left side that is ease to get to, ne bad transmission cooling line. The drivers and passenger windows will need to be replaced, ne has a bad track and the other has broken frame. Both have broken glass as well. Theses are the same for all 1959 GM. This is a complete car and either a great start for a restoration or an easy transformation into a RAD CAD RAT ROD!!!!!!!
