The Series 62 was, of course, the first year that Cadillac offered tail fins on any of their vehicles. This was also the last year of the bulletproof 346 CID flathead V8 engine. No engine or transmission mounted in the car, but are available with purchase. The factory color is black with red leather interior giving this car an incredibly beautiful look when finished. This car has been completely disassembled and is ready to be put back together. The seller has an Illinois title, just east of St. Louis. He also has paperwork dating back to 1974. The body has been stripped, undercoating removed and covered in grey self-etching primer. There also has been no body filler added. There are two places to note where the vehicle has had previous lead repair: the left headlight & the lower-left door. There also has been no lead removed either. The trunk and floor pans are solid metal. Overall there is a very minimal amount of rust in the body and frame of this nearly 72-year-old vehicle. Three original wheels come with the car but no hubcaps are available. The car has been assembled to show that it is 99% complete and ready for restoration.
