1941 Cadillac Series 62 convertible coupe Series 62

I purchased car from Estate of long time collector who passed away in 2008. He brought car East from California after car sat in dry storage for 20 some odd years. He got it running and painted it in early 80's but never really got it road worthy as it shared space with 15 other 41 Cadillacs and Buicks. Upon my purchase I sent the gas tank out to Renu for refurbishment, removed the manifolds and sent them out for new porcelain. Pulled the heads-checked cylinder bore-still standard and not out of round. Pulled the pistons out-installed new std bore rings, lapped the valves, replaced heads with new head bolts, rebuilt carb/generator & fuel pump. You can hardly hear the motor when you pull up to a stop sign. Replaced water pump with new generation unit with lifetime bearing and seal. Installed all new wiring harness, New king pins/bushings, anti sway bar bushings, shocks rebuilt by Apple Hydraulics, New U Joints, new front and rear wheel and axle brgs. New front coil springs. Radio converted to AM/FM. New rugs, door panels and seat upholstery. When I had the door panels off I found a 70's LA County California parking ticket in the door well. Replaced vinyl top with correct black canvas top. Serviced the heater valve and radiator shutter mechanism. All new brakes/hardware/wheel cylinders, master cylinder and hoses. 5 new Coker radialsPlease take a look at the undercarriage pictures of this car-there is absolutely no rust anywhere. This car probably never spent a night outside its entire life unless it was away from its owners home garage. Bare metal floors have never had undercoating or sound deadener etc. applied to them.. Automatic transmission works as it should. Brakes stop straight. Power top mechanism works great as well as all gauges and clock. Original GM keys for door locks/ignition and glovebox. Front and rear bumper appear to havebeen replated whencarwas painted in the 80's. 30 year old paint job is still outstanding without and crazing, blisters etc. Remainder of stainless and chrome is very nice. Cadillac archive records show car came from Detroit in Black finish, green and tan interior, with Centaro green wheels, black top and a black boot. I had a tan boot made for it.The original black boot is in the trunk. I have the factory skirts also. Several small touch up spots mostly around where the skirts had been attached. Very nice door and hood gaps. I acquired car with 47 K miles and have driven it approximately 3000 miles in 10 years. Recently drove it 4.5 hours each way to Macungie Pennsylvania Das Awk Festival last year. Please call with any questions 7039668422
