Description:

1988 Cadillac Brougham

Very nice condition, well cared for and garaged classic Cadillac. This was something of a barn find, it was in the garage of a house that I purchased, so I am the third owner but have only had it since November. The title is clear and has been transferred to my name, so no issue there. It had been several years since it had been started, but after an oil change and a little starting fluid it came right to life. This car is in remarkable condition with very little wear on the red leather seats and carpeting. Exterior paint is good but shows minor wear consistent with its age and mileage. Originally purchased in Wisconsin, it has spent most of it's time in Western Washington where there is very little use of road salt. There is some surface rust on the trunk lid interior, which I believe is due to condensation buildup from when it was sitting unused. There are no dents or scratches, the body is very straight and all the trim is clean and intact. Vinyl top shows only some minor cracking along the bottom edge over the trunk. Toyo whitewall tires are in very good condition. The car starts right up every time and drives smoothly in town and on the freeway. I recently took it on a 4-hour round trip to Portland, OR and it cruised along with no issues. Almost all the power options are in working order including seat adjustments, power windows and locks, power antenna, electronic climate control, and power trunk closer. I've had it in to a local mechanic who replaced the engine belts and the ball joints, but couldn't find any other immediate issues. Some things that could use work are the shocks which are pretty flat, the A/C needs charging, and the cruise control does not come on. It sounds like there is a small exhaust leak close to the front. This is a great car as is, or with some TLC could easily be brought up to near original condition. It comes with the manual and original issue gold keys. Technically, buyer will be responsible for shipping or local pickup, but if you are located in the Pacific Northwest I may be willing to drive it to you. I am happy to answer any questions and provide more detailed pictures upon request.
