1974 Cadillac Eldorado Base Convertible 2-Door

Up for sale is my recently restored and modded 1974 Eldorado Convertible with 79k original miles. It has the factory 501 V8 with a 4 barrel carb and column shift auto trans. The exhaust has been modified to run out the sides for a nice "raging bull" type sound. NO LEAKS or knocks with the engine and the transmission shifts like a Cadillac should. The disc brakes work well, but this car is in no hurry to accelerate or stop... it's all about the ride quality. All the work has been done responsibly and lovingly to give birth to a truly bad ass car. This is not a showroom rebuilt car, but definitely a unique and very successful "driveway restoration". My goal was never to give it the factory look, but rather to amplify the ridiculous, the cool and the excess that this car stands for. Every trip is an event and i guarantee you will never fill up without starting a conversation with someone (if we go on a test drive and don't get a single stare or thumbs up i will take 1000$ off the asking price right there). I have some paperwork and photos of the entire restoration process if necessary and will gladly help the new owner in any way i can. I've had a lot of fun working on this project, but i'm ready to start a new one so i need to let her go. It even comes with the factory jack and tire iron. Over the course of one year the car has undergone some serious restoration and modding procedures. Some of them are as follows:
-NEW matte white paint job (all rust spots cut out and new metal welded in)
-NEW waterproof red top
-NEW (used) hood hinges - that beast will stay up by itself
-NEW convertible top motor, relay and cables
-NEW interior carpeting
-NEW floor mats
-NEW headlights
-NEW Kenwood stereo + modern amplified antenna (Pandora, USB, AUX, CD Radio)
-NEW speakers (2 front + 2 rear) + amplifier + cables and a custom built speaker box (old speakers are still in place if anyone wants to go back to an old school radio)
-NEW oil + filter + air cleaner
-NEW belts
-NEW carb gasket kit
-NEW spark plugs
-NEW hoses and clamps (where needed)
-NEW brake lines (front)
-NEW steering bushings
-NEW battery
-NEW alternator
-NEW true white wall tires (manufactured in Aug 2015)
-NEW side exhaust pipes and tips
-NEW bull horns and spotlights (not wired up) - i have a new factory Cadillac hood ornament to go with the car
Additionally several parts have been refurbished
-dashboard recovered in strong textured paint (does have a crack unfortunately)
-hand painted Cadillac details
-door cards refurbished and carpet changed out
-brake fluid reservoir
-replaced both exhaust manifolds
-gas gauge repaired
-master window, wiper and convertible top switches redone
-instrument cluster has adjustable intensity LEDs (work with factory light switch)
-seats have been redyed in a brighter red paint to match the new carpet
-trunk has had surface rust removed and then covered in truck bed coating
-rear floor pans have had new metal welded in and covered in undercoating
-fiber optics on the fenders restored
-faux fur fitted in rear passenger foot well
-90% tint front and back
Things that still need to be done for it to be 100% in my eyes:
-door jams and trunk repainted
-re chrome rear bumper
-weather stripping (i already bought new ones for the side windows, the doors and the trunk which will be included)
-AC radiator (as far as i can tell the compressor still works)
-rear window tracks need to be refurbished and right rear window regulator replaced
I have driven this car regularly and it always starts and runs as it should. I even used it as a daily driver for about a month and i have to say it has been one of my most reliable vehicles to date. This is definitely a driver and i would have no problem taking this car to California (if someone else pays for gas). I'm motivated to sell, but i will not give it away as i have too many hours in this (not to mention money). I am interested in some trades (e39 M5, 65-68 mustang, Harleys or older pickup)
